Hey give us a big screen TV for free viewing out front of the Joe and we can get many more than that to watch. If a parade happens we will once again have close to a million fans marching on detroit to celebrate. Joe Vision (WTF ILLITCH? ITS ROUND 3 WHERE YOU AT?) would regularly bring in 8,000-10,000 fans to watch the jumbotron for around $10
-
Well maybe that would be the best thing for him/her... I mean getting a first house outside of the 'rents is a big deal and quite the experience... why not go all out. YOu can pay 80K and then spend the rest on actually puting 4 walls and a roof on that slab you will get Ah but your housing market is overinflated because you use looney money!
-
I guess so... just no longer for tonights game.

Ticketmaster is officially closed as of 6pm... The only way to get tickets is to go down to the joe now. The response below is from a merged thread, which is why it makes no sense in the context of the above But really what is the big deal if it is sold out or not? I mean the Wings know (and have stated in interviews) that just because fans are in the seats at the joe doesn't mean basements and bars across the state are jam packed. The players can't help that their employer is a bunch of money whores. They know we still support them, so I just don't see the whole deal about selling out or not... especially now that a record is no longer on the line.

The problem is they didn't give us an option to choose ticketfast when we went to choose shipping. As I stated above, you have to call them to get the e-mail tickets. Also, I am to assume you are from the left coast and ducks fan? Your arena seats roughly 2,000 less than our arena... Nightly in the playoffs we only miss our sellout mark by 1,500 at most... Mean ing, we too, would be selling out IF our arena was as small as yours. Also, I commend you on the 30 in a row... "Game 1 of the opening round saw the Red Wings' 452-game home sellout streak (dating back to December 10, 1996) come to end with an announced crowd of just 19,204." Your arena according to info off of the Ducks website is about 17,174 at its peak for hockey. Sweet I am going to keep this in mind for the games to come... It saddens me to see the tickets still listed and yet the lady on the phone said they wouldn't be able to be fullfilled until tomorrow (meaning as of 6pm EST you are too late to get these tickets) If someone still is able to get them after 6pm est PLEASE ALSO POST!
-
Did you do it? Did they E-mail you them... REPLY ASAP!!!!! i need to know I justed called the 1-866 help number they listed and talked to a live person. It is now too late to purchase tickets for TONIGHTS game... Odd they still will take your money online, but you won't get the tickets until tomorrow maybe that is for people who live a day behind. Anyways, to get the tickets E-MAILED to you, you have to call them (number is on the contact us part of the site). They will set it up for you over the phone. Shipping is $15 regardless of if you have them shipped standard OR E-mailed to you... so it is like a set fee. Still a helluva lot cheaper than face value. ANYBODY WHO HAS USED THEM BEFORE.... PLEASE POST YOUR EXPERIENCE... I am a bit cautious because as the saying goes, "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is)

Same thing here... I don't trust it for tonights game... Anyways, I got my seat on the coach already called out... It would throw off my groove

Go Bobert!
-
I dunno... those Alien twins are pretty shifty fellers. He may have a point.
-
Good news for him! He really wasn't going to get very much playing time here anyways, or so the projected goalie timetable would lead one to believe.
-
Well s***... putting Giggy's numbers up there against Hasek's all I can say is WE ARE DOOMED -- OH NO !!!!1111!!1!!!!!!!! Its odd that they have played BOTH their goalies will equal success. Play F-ing full 60 mins of hockey and skate away with the win.
-
who are they?
-
They are right around $100 a seat up close... actually the ones you were in R16 (i believe) would be somewhere around $75. The upper first 12 have been $54 and then Rows 13-21 are $44 and then R22-26 are $22 I would kill to be able to work that much at one job. I was living the high life when our company had OT... I am just praying that day will come again real soon! WOW, that is pretty damn good P/T per hour price... Good luck finding a decent p/t job anywhere around here for more than $10/hr.
-
I understand completely which is why I am not the one knocking the fans for not going to the games... The out of state people who really have no intention of actually going to games... just like to ***** that the seats are getting filled are the ones accusing us of lack of "wingness"... which is where I tend to want to step in. I would never denounce someone for not having enough disposable income to cover a 2-1/2 hour sporting event. The people who are formerly from michigan (obviously left for some reason and were damny lucky to) and the out of town people that are the ones bashing the citizens of Metro Detroit. Got my 12pack of Molson, a front row seat on the couch and I am ready to go for tomorrow night.... Does that make me lesser of a fan because I am only 30miles from the "not sold out Joe" ... Some may say so, but frankly, I don't give a damn... I will be cheering the same as them.
-
Sweet! No matter where your seats are you will have a blast for sure.

Thats what I am saying... Using a certain state salary as a way to mock another states entertainment value leads to errors. Even though the cost of living is higher on the left coast... No body except a select few could even afford a $5,000.00 house payment around here... That would lead to foreclosure in a heart beat. Making that kind of salary (unless you are living way beyond your means) $100 is a drop in the bucket for one ticket (or $400 for a family of 4). That same comparison can be made here in michigan where a $12 Whalers Finals ticket in accordance to my salary is a drop in the bucket for me. I really don't hear anybody actually making a living in michigan bitching about the attendance... They are mainly bitching because they can't afford to go, not that they don't want to go. Until I got married, my family could not afford to go to playoff games at all. Our first year of marriage was the first time I ever attended a playoff game. Now I have gone many times since them.

Haha I am still pissed that we spent $180 to see the wings pitiful effort in game 1 last round.... damn shame all the money and they sucked ass for 60 mins!
-
Well you are looking at DCX, GM and Ford all laying off RECORD number of people over the last 1-1/2 years. Along with those layoffs comes constant plant closings and the Big three place OUTRAGEOUS demands for cutting costs on suppliers forcing many into bancruptcy (sp?) and other into triming down their work force substantily. Now you couple all those people being dumped back into the unemployment pool.... Not to mention Comerica and Pfizer heading down to texas adding even more people to the pool... you no longer have a shallow pool but an ocean full of people looking for jobs. (i am not even considering all the Hopefull graduates from around the state getting dumped into the pool twice a year)... No new jobs are being brought to michigan maybe a few here or there. Even then, you need mass amounts of school (with is also exponentially increasing) therefore many aren't able to afford to get that schooling. Anyways.... yes it can get that bad in such a short period of time... Jobs are being lost and no new jobs are being created.... hence the 2nd to worst unemployment rate in the nation.

I would say three Michigan based teams have a great chance this year... Red Wings Pistons Whalers
