It would defintely sell out the 17,174 hockey seat Honda Center on a nightly basis... You want playoff sell outs with high ticket prices.... Build a smaller venue... then you will continue to sell out. The Mighty Foul continue to sell out becuase their venue seats less than the joe. Unless someone can find more updated info that is the number i got right from the Ducks website talking about the Arrowhead pond (only a name change they said when it went to Honda center) I am taking the money I am saving by not going to one more game (an I do mean just a single game ~ savings of over $100.00 now) and buying a season pass to Cedar Point! That to me is money better spent than for 2-1/2 hours of playoff hockey. My family has already dropped a grand on the playoffs this season, so all of those out of state bitching about selling out then by all means, take your $1,000.00 and get your ass to the Joe one or more times... then AND ONLY then can you ***** about the attendance. 'Cause if you aren't doing your part to fill the Joe... I don't even want to hear it!

Well one was 4-1... the other was 3-2 with an empty netter making it 4-2. Sharks owned us in the regular season... they are golfing while we march on. Regular season stats means jack to the post season, save the seeding. That 4-1 win, wasn't against the same team we have now either.

Here is an interesting item of note I just found... The Arrowhead Pond seats 17,174 for NHL games. if that was the capacity of the JLA it too would be selling out every game so far this playoffs. So it looks like only the name changed.. I couldn't find any info as to more seats being put in.

They can be cocky because Game 1 hasn't started yet... they are still in this series Wings are on a mission from God! Go Wings!

and you have 2.3% more people with steady work and steady salaries to fill those seats. Its all relative. Like I said... got to any local watering hole on game night and try to get a walk in seat. People are still supporting the wings... only they aren't rapping their wallets to do so.

Perhaps it's as you say it... the MEDIA doesn't play it up so therefore it seems like something is a bigger deal than something else. MEDIA coverage of hockey has always sucked...Just because the MEDIA doesn't portray the Schnider injury as something huge, does not imply that the "real" world sees it that way. The MEDIA has their own ways of making things way more important than they are. Try to find a spot at the local B-dubs or waterhole the day of the game... I guarantee you the seats are all filled up with fans cheering on the team. For the record... ticket prices: Here is an example of the Season tickets we have (keep in mind we have 2 tickets so you must double all numbers below for a couple to go to the game). Our tickets are in the Upper Bowl Row 11... this is why we turned them down for the post season: $54 --> Regular season price for 41 games $99 for Round 1 (about a 183% markup) $108 for Round 2 (about a 200% markup $158 for Round 3 (about a 292.6% markup) $270 for Round 4 (about a 500% markup)

Not going to happen... they already released the prices for the finals back before the playoffs. Take the Regular season prices and multiply them by 5 to get your FINALS prices. Also add on that nice ticket bastard charge. Its not all bad... its only 500% markup over regular season prices... Hmm, I wonder why they aren't selling out?

Why wouldn't they??? I did that to be able to go to 3 games so far this post season (ninja's) J/king... hockey tickets are luxury that many fellow michiganians simply can not afford right now. Catch me again in October when (pending the ticket price hike) I will be able to once again attend games.

Sure it does... No job, no money extra money, no tickets to a luxury.. who does it not explain the lack of selling out. Note that it wasn't until the prices raised that fans stopped going. Pistons aren't selling out, neither are the Tigers.... They weren't available but I was just noting that they do in fact have a ticket option about $28 less than the lowest rate the wings are selling for. I am not sure how many rows that $71 price is good for, but I know at the Joe the $99 tickets are only for the last 5 rows. Then you jump OVER the $100 mark.

Ford just axed the Wixom assembly plant... That will pollute the already increasing unemployment rate in MI... Not to mention all the little businesses that fed off the plant members. Sorry, working in the Auto industry first hand... I know it sucks and michigan is ALL auto type work... Its going knowwhere but down... THANK GOD they re-elected Granholm for more time! The economy might be lacking on the left coast, but at least you can say more of your population is actually pulling in some sort of paycheck. Michigan is the 2nd to last and that is only by .4%. Granny has us sitting at a pleasant 7.1% unemployed... up from 6.5% Kudos to her driving away MORE businesses.

Double as in from what they are now, right? Our $54 season ticket seats are a cool 500% markup for the finals at $270 per ticket per game! Not to mention the gas, the parking, the refreshments....

Apart from some huge brain farts in their playing style... this seasons wings have proven they have what it takes to get the job done.... The team really gelled while Zeta missed the last month or so of the regular season. While it was unfortuante, that was almost what the team needed. They now know they aren't a team that relies on one star player to succeed. They all play their roles.

$99 will get you Row 26 in the upper bowl (normally $22), the last row of the arena.... Thats so not a steal I am done going to games this post season... Out of state people bitching about our lack of attendance will have to pony up the money and attend a game before i dish out any more money to go! NY shouldn't stop you from going (western new york moreso, you are even closer to us)... what is it a 2 hour flight? Tickets are available and waiting for you.

Once again, every who thought that was a serious breakdown... Everyone knows it's Ducks in 5... San Jose beat us in our season series... They are golfing... We are still playing.... Regular season doesn't mean squat to the playoffs outside of seeding. Wings are gods gift to hockey... We rule all that is my final answer and I am sticking to it....
