The wings are excellent, if not the best, at dumping the puck in... always have been... Its the chase portion and the gaining control of the puck is where they have always been horrible at. They also really need someone closer than the blueliners in front of the net to get anything going. They can play as long as they want behind the net... the goals are scored by those in front of the net... something we didin't have for one second last night.

Kopecky looked pretty damn good in warmups last night.... scratch Sammy and put Kopecky in!

OMG... you mean I actually was watching the right game last night? I was starting to doubt I was at the right JLA last night after reading the many "wings didn't play all that bad last night IMHO" Your assesment was right on with all account.

I hope they devise a plan to keep Frazen or Bert parked in front of the net... Isn't that the benefit of guys like that to add two more screeners to aid Holmer when he is off the ice? They were none existent in front of the net last night... hell when the play was behind the net... the closest people we had in front of the net were the blue liners.

How does the lack of attendance demonstrate the fans are spoiled? All I have heard about in years past was "POOR ME, POOR ME the corporate suites buy up all the tickets and little ol' me can't attend.... The TRUE fans can't attend because the seats are taken up by corporate!!!!!" Well guess what? Not any more? Where are those true fans now bitching about not being able to go... When it comes to spending their OWN money for tickets they really don't want to. The fans aren't spoiled... even the "TRUE FANS" as they call themselves have been priced out of the attendance market.... By ticket prices... not lack of available tickets. I have been to 3 of the 4 possible home games so far... Tickets ARE NOT hard to get... so where are the TRUE FANS who bitched about not being able to go to the games before... Here is their chance and THEY are dropping the ball. I think you are low balling that figure... A 200% markup for round 2 of the playoffs is only a "little ridiculous"? Football > Hockey almost everywhere. Do I watch football, hell no.. but it still is #1 in a lot of major cities.

Honestly, I didn't see any of our players last night playing "great" most, if not all, were just happy to be there in round 2 it seemed. I was totally unimpressed by the teams play and sure hope they turn it around.... They sorta have to in order to go any further. The fruitless shots on Nabakov need to stop. We are makING a player once again look superhuman which is far from the truth. YAY we had 30+ shots... YAY all but like 10 were from the perimeter and unscreened right into his chest. Nabokov's greatest save came 54 mins into the game.... THATS how bad our shot attempts were. The 30 shots on the board don't at all represent the numerous more that went Wide!

The game must look really different in person and on TV... Because Detroit came out with a bit of fire in them getting some chances up close... then after the sharks got the 2nd goal their play turned to slop. People were missing assigments and San Jose literally kept control of the puck for the remainder of the game. I must have been watching the wrong game last night The crowd was taken out early and they really didn't give us much the cheer for the rest of the way. This had to have been the most boring display of hockey I have witnessed in person at the Joe in a long time. The win or loss, the entertainment value of the game did NOT warrent the $144 we spent two nosebleed seats. I thought Calgary Shut us out back to back games to eliminate us in 2004? Our tickets are in the Upper Bowl Row 11... this is why we turned them down for the post season: $54 --> Regular season price for 41 games $99 for Round 1 (about a 183% markup) $108 for Round 2 (about a 200% markup $158 for Round 3 (about a 292.6% markup) $270 for Round 4 (about a 500% markup) Regular season $2,214.00 x2 = $4,428.00 +10 shipping fee = $4,438.00 for roughly 41 games Post season $2,540 x2 = $5,080 + $40 shipping fee = $5,090.00 for roughly 16 games. Huge rip off, not to mention increased prices for parking.

This is the current rounds prices $72 - Upper last 4 rows $77 - Standing $90 - Rows like 12-21 Upper bowl $108 - Rows 1-11 Upper bowl (our normal season ticket which are on $54 throughout the year) $135 - Upper lower bowl $153 - first few rows in the lower bowl Prices are a bit too steep. Oh and season ticket holders... PAY THE EXACT AMOUNT... PLUS, a nice service fee per round... NO DISCOUNTS. So the seats in the upper bowls empty are people like me who turned down their season tickets for the playoffs. That being said I have gone to 3 of the 4 possible home games

I am one to always back the crowds and their levels... Tonight... Way low volume.. But the sharks took us out of the game WAY early and the wings didn't do a damn thing to reverse it. It definitely DID NOT have the same feel the first 2 games of last round did. It was more like a regular season game atmosphere. That and they changed the Join the Red Wave song... I liked the one from last round better

Oh yeah and they had a raffle for those in attendance who got their red on. They gave away various signed items from various players on the team. My number was not called, I am skeptical if it was actually in the hopper

thats awesome!!!! I saw the guy running down the asle and as soon as he whipped it out (god knows where he kept that sucker) it took him a bit heft it over the glass. That thing was HUGE and I can just imagine how much was invested in that toss (Cost per pound and ticket price for a seat you won't get to sit in at all) The octipus and the cheers really did throw her off her groove.
