Freakin' Lazers... Freakin' A.... That is by far the best rumored reason to date
-
Well, save us some seats... not that you need to... We will be roaming looking for the best seats. Our seats are cool, but there are so many more expensive seats that I can sit my arse in just the same. GO WINGS Now the point is to sell out the joe, not the saddle dome I am guessing you mean home game 3... if not, freakin sweet you are going to calgary.
-
Well I HOPE that YOU will be doing your DUTY to get your ass in the seat for todays game... as you are SOOOOO embarrassed by it. Am I correct, YOU WILL be there today... or are you just going to remain in the seat plastered in front of your computer and ***** about people not attending the same very game you yourself should be attending?? Put up or Shut up! I along with offsides will once again be there supporting the team... Am I embarrased that I this will be my last game at the joe for the 2007 playoff season? Hell NO and I live only 30mins from the Joe. For the Price of these two playoff games, I would have attended six (6) regular season home games. Once again, if you OR ANYONE else is going to ***** about attendance at the Joe... PUT UP OR SHUT UP! Get there, THERE IS NO EXCUSE IF YOU ARE COMPLAINING.
-
So sorry Aussie_Wing, I didn't end up going to the game last night We went out to the bar instead and well the OHL game kinda took a back seat Anyways you are correct, he got a goal in a losing effort.

Found my PLAYOFF TICKET PRICE MARKUP for the regular season's $54 seats: We have two of the $54 tickets (row 11, upperbowl)... here was our price breakdown: $99 for Round 1 (about a 183% markup) $108 for Round 2 (about a 200% markup $158 for Round 3 (about a 292.6% markup) $270 for Round 4 (about a 500% markup) Basically for the entire Playoffs we would pay, $5,110.00 (including the $30 in handling fees for us season ticket holders)
-
I did a Percent markup on each section for each round but it is now somewhere buried in these threads... it was quite staggering to seet. However the $5 Hot'nReady is only a 250% markup at the joe ($12.50) so its all relative Oh don't worry, I actually wasn't directing my comment at you at all... there was just so many people ALL SEASON and whatnot complaining about season ticket holders and not filling the seats and I just finally snapped. For me now it is you better put up or shut up about the empty seats. Personally, with the Wicked leg and arm room I now expect at each game... I don't blame the fans one once for the empty seats. They seats are empty for nothing more than as you said... the Wings uppers have finally (THANK GOD) found the ceiling for ticket prices. Sadly though, since these games are all Bonus cash for the Org and with the amount they charge for tickets (all ranges) a bunch of empty seats in the playoffs will still bring in more of a Revenue than any given sold out Regular Season game. All in all I see the Regular season prices on the rise next season with any amount of sucess this post season. The only way to stop them for rising is to stop going. which seems to have finally become a reality.

Awesome... I am sure he will be dressed and itching to get 'er done!

In relation to the cup, with one win out of the 16 needed they have earned a 6% or F In relationship to the series win, with one out of 4 they have earned a 25% or F In relationship to the games played, they are 100% or A+ Keep it going boys!

You do realize you are giving free adverstising by copying the picture in your reply
-
Thats exactly how i am with the Isles.... Followed Ozzie around and really started liking the Isles team as a whole.
-
Pretty Close to that. The first 12 rows of the Upper Bowl (normally $54) are $99 in the post season. Horrible markup for a round 1
-
This pistons have 4 ticket ranges BELOW the wings first ticket range to choose. from. I could still get tickets to ALL games open for sale in the first round as of 10 mins ago. In fact from the looks of the games left prices and the playoffs... Ticket prices remain very close to the regular season prices in the lower price ranges... The rink (ergh court) side tickets are where the prices jump. Regular season Vs. Post season: $10 vs. $12 $25 vs. $35 $35 vs. $45 $40 vs. $50 $55 vs. $65 $65 vs. $90 $80 vs. $105 $105 vs. $125 $175 vs. $200 Way different markup than the Red Wings... So if they were to sell out these games, More people would be able to afford a Pistons round 1 game than a Red Wings Round 1 game. Even Cheli was talking about the Economy last night before the game when asked about the lack of selling out the games. I am pretty sure while he is a millionaire, his restuarants get a great feel for the blossoming econnomic situation in Michigan.

I am sure it is was a slip up but when Rome was asking about Dats... Holland said (totally paraphrasing here ) that it was good to see him get a goal especially after his contract he signed a week before training camp. That struck me odd. Did he mean before Playoffs? or did they offer this to Dats in September and then didn't finalize it until last week? No big deal, the wording was just odd to me.

you would think... however neither you nor I are in charge of ticket sales or promtions. As long as I can remember, Detroit has NEVER offered any substantial discounts (apart from way back when they were in the Entertainment book.... and that was around the late 80's The media does blow it out proportion. The crowd that was there more than made up for the lack of people in the seats. Personally, I would take that aspect of the JOE any day over a true sell-out!
-
For me its because its a damn PAIN to watch him play. However if he would just fight each game he would A) entice me to like him more and B) get his arse off the ice for a guaranteed 5 mins Maybe he could instigate a few and have to leave the game. Actually, I thought he played pretty well last night. I was cracking up when they were playing, "PAIN" over the PA during the scuffle at the end of the game. And Lilja was standing at the top of the crease with a sort of, "WHO'S NEXT" pose. F-ing hilarious!
-
Corporations are too busy trying to book their moving vans to get the hell out of this hell hole economic disaster we call Michgan to worry about buying over inflated sporting event tickets Detroit Red Wings DO NOT offer discounts to help sell tickets. THEY are ABOVE those silly promotions

For everyone bitching about the amount of people at the game last night... Put your money where your mouth is... Get yourself on a Bus, Plane or walk and get your rear end in those damn empty seats or shut the hell up. This talk of people not going to the game has grown very tired. Don't ***** about it online in a message forum... get to the damn game. I don't care if you are out of state or whatever your excuse is to not go to the game... people here in the city and suburbs probably have just as good of a reason not to attend the game that you do. Anyways, as always, the atmosphere at the Joe during a playoff game made up for the empty seats.... Perhaps they could do something a bit more ENERGIZING for the pre-game Playoff celebration. That was a total snooze fest. I could tell this was Zeta first game back after a long hiatus. He was missing passes on both ends and looked to be always one step behind in his moves. But, I expected that as he was out for a long time without being able to play. Lke Bertuzzi, I am sure he will find his "A" game rather quickly. Zeta showed stints of his normal self when he had the buck but behind the camara shots he was looking rather sluggish and cautious. Our section won the Foam fingers last night... that was pretty funny. It was definitely a great game to attend.
-
I was just going to ask you if I could bring last years sig out of retirement.... I see you have yourself decided to use it. Ah well.
-
All the cheapies $63 seats are gone. There are a few in the $126 range that offer good views... however I couldn't justify spending almost $260 for one game in the 1st round.
-
Well they shouldn't have been so rude as to plan said event on Game 4 We carefully planned our wedding date so that neither of us would have to miss our own wedding due to the game being at the same time
-
I don't think it is sold out yet... We ended up almost getting our exact season ticket seats (which we turned down for the playoffs) for tonights game about an hour ago or so.
-
6ish... they are going to do the festivities before warmups? That seems odd. Maybe I will sneak out a bit earlier today
-
Hell no Yeah I don't care... We will be down near the ice for warm ups... thats for sure. I am working until about 4pm and then I have to go home and we will attempt to be at the joe around 6pm. I am uber excited now. The last time we went to Game 1 of the first round was a sad loss to the Canuckle heads... However, we all know how THAT playoffs turned out
-
Getting REALLY excited now!!! Just bought 214 Row 14 tickets for Offsides and I!!!!!!! Looks like we too will be at the Joe for Game 1
