I never said my hopes were up or down with Bertuzzi (if that is who you are refering to in your post). I am not counting on Bertuzzi to be the life saver for the wings... I am however, excited that he was traded to our team and I am happy with what I saw in him so far. Obviously he hasn't been 100% on our team or playing like the Bert many of us hated on the Canucks... Bertuzzi wasn't the single player everyone on here relied the ENTIRE outcome of our season on, like they have with Zeta. If Zeta comes back after missing 1-1/4 months of competitive hockey and jumps back into the scoring lead then more power to him... I just don't see that as a reality right now. Luckily we have had others stepping up and filling in for him continueing on our success while he was out. That will be the key, that the rest of the team has gelled together in his absence.

I'm just saying... I am not getting my hopes all tied up in his performance. Back injuries can destroy even the greatest of leaders. I hope he is alright, but I am not expecting miracles from him. The rest of the team will need to score many goals to help out.

I am just hoping Zetterberg will be able to to jump back into the same game form that he left with after having a month+ off of competitive hockey... Somehow I doubt he will be the same guy everyone is predicting and expecting back in the lineup! Zeta, Dats and Bert!

Wow... I feel dumber just reading this thread. Just glad that many on hear weren't offered the wings job of GM and thankfully, NEVER WILL BE! For me it is... I don't need to have the wings place first overall. I happy with a 1-8 seed. I don't need total dominance for me to be satisfied with the team... so yeah considering we were a lock for at least the 8th seed for quite some time now... it is meaningless to me.

If you are willing to part with Lang so easily why on earth do you even ask about the amount Maltby is making? That should be a no-brainer for you. Malts by far brings A LOT less to the team now than Lang does. If you want Lang gone there should be no wondering about Maltby's salary... you should want hiim gone regardless of his price tag.

From what I got... Comcast owns VS and was trying to screw Charter. Am I incorrect in recalling that NHL and ESPN struck a deal for next season? if so that would make this whole contract crap useless anyways. I very rarely watch VS at all.

Regardless of what is injury is... if a team wanted to take him out they very well can... laying lumber consistantly on a healthy wrist (given an actual back injury) or a healthy back (given an actual wrist injury) will still do some major damage. Which is why I am glad we did not sit pat at the trade deadline and picked up Bert. He NEEDS to be the police out there and make sure they DO NOT target our stars, healthy or not.

Doesn't like NBC or some national stations get the 3rd and 4th round anyways? I guess I am lost as to where the benefit of Versus even comes into play during the playoffs. I don't recall catching a single game on versus last playoffs.

QFT. I got a call from the Red Wings Season ticket office asking if I was getting my playoff tickets this season. I simply told them NOPE, not very cost beneficial for me at this time. Having over a 150% markup for the first round for the very same tickets I have all season is just a "bit" rediculous. Playoff hockey or not, its way too much. Bad enough the $5 pizzas are marked up 250% at the Joe already. Ohwell, I am more than happy being at home on my couch watching the first few rounds... Once we get towards the 4th round, I might feel a bit jealous but then again, I save $500 each game I don't go to in the 4th round. So it all evens out

Is will call an option?.. what would cut out the shipping portion of the OUTRAGEOUS fees ticketbastard charges. After getting Season tickets I haven't used ticketbastard but once over the last few years.

I would like to have both... if Dats catches fire then watch the hell out This season looks promising as it is him (dats) who is coming into the post season uninjured (knock on wood). I don't hold as high hopes from Zeta as he hasn't been in physical game play for over a month now. With that said... I don't think we should let Zeta walk just because this years playoffs might not be as impressive as we would have hoped earlier in this season. on a side note: People on these boards are quite CONFUSING..... You WANT the wings to do well in the post season... yet you WANT to get rid of the players that perform the best in the post season. Hmmm, don't get your logic at all. WTF, mates??? You have to have a people putting up numbers in the post season in order to succeed.

Does Centre Ice carry the entire Playoffs? I thought they only carried like the first rounds and then the later rounds went to Versus or ESPN (pre versus) If centre ice carries the entire playoffs then I am all set!

What's wrong with Lang you ask? Well simple... Its not the playoffs... Why waste all the effort in the final games (risk being hurt) when the "real" season starts in a few days and your team has already clinched (a post season where Lang most Definitely DOMINATES all other Wings since joining the team)

Yeah I just got off of live help from Charter and it is definitely true. They (charter) are in negotiations with the Golf Channel and Versus. They will be notifing subscribers shortly about the result of the negotiation. I am feeling we will see Versus Disappear BEFORE we get the written letter. Well at least the wings are now in 97.1FM for reception.

Just check a little bit ago...Tickets still available for all games... I just can't justify spending $70 a ticket for nosebleed to round 1. Oh well, watching on the TV with normal priced beer and actual $5 large little cesears pizza is fine with me

I hear what you are saying... I guess my question is more for everyone as well. Mr. Zetterberg has yet to find ANY success in the playoffs either... Does that mean HE should not be re-signed? I mean, so far him being in the playoffs, he produces LESS than Lang and yet Lang is the one being called out for But of course Zeta should be re-signed as well as Lang... Why get rid of our only bright spots in the most recent post-seasons?
