Are you going to Hold Zetterberg to this same standard when his contract comes up? As since joining the team Lang has out performed Zeta in one of his playoff appearances and tied him in the other..... Seems odd that Zeta would get a free pass while Lang gets put through the grinder. I highly doubt you would let Zeta go after a subpar playoffs (not that lang has under performed in the playoffs comparably thusfar)

I guess so... I am just glad that nobody on here is GM because some of the choices made would have been the downfall of the team. I don't have any problem with Lang and see that his benefit becomes visable during the post season... Is that not the exact reason people ***** about Datsyuk? Not becuase he doesn't produce in the regular season (both do btw produce in the regular season anyways) but becuase Dats has been a no show in the post season. Regardless of how much Dats does in the regular season, he still gets ripped for his post season performance. So, with that said, I ask WTF does it matter what Lang does in the regular season, why all the hate? He puts up team leading numbers in the Post Season.... That's what matters. Post season 03-04 - Lead the Team in points with nine(9) 05-06 - Tied for 2nd (with Zetterberg mind you) for team scoring in the playoffs. 06-07 - TBD Seems to be pretty beneficial to me there. But alas, what the hell, lets get rid of him!!!!

This is the best April fools joke thread hands down. I heard the same thing laster year at this time about last year being Ozzies last year in the red and white and Manny was going to remain #1. Lang will be back... our playoff success for years to come depends on it! I will wait until we let him go for sure before I say, he definitely will be gone. I was actually looking at it as the exact opposite. He WAS playing hard these past few weeks because there was a chance he wouldn't play in the post season (with him being at the shallow end of the depth pool and all). Now that we "need" him and he is now a given for playoff time, I don't see him trying as hard. He isn't fighting for playing time now... he is going to get it by default. Oh the Pain from the train!.
