My Bad, I gathered that was the mind set of the fans on here with all the goalie bashing thread started after a losing effort...Goalies are allowed no slack and must be flawless all the time... especially when the team in front of them quits on them. Kinda like Mistakes are for the Minors and Once you make it Prime time in the NHL you are expected to stop everything everynight... nothing can get by you.

If Manny has a bad game, the fans won't rip on him. It's only like that with Oz. Pathetic I know. And you're right. This happens to every team, and it most definitely is a reality check. Wings fans are just too damn spoiled that the second the team loses by three goals it's all chaos as if the world had ended. Oh, they will if he ever actually becomes 'THE' #1 goaltender here. I remember waaaaay back when Ozzie was the golden boy... when he was a backup. I remember that as well. Back then it was Ozzie could do no wrong. Now it's Manny. Next it will be Manny is horrible, and Howard can do no wrong..and so on. Hell a few more starts like Atlanta and JFH might just skip right on by the He is awesome phase in D-town.

^^ Yep now we just have to hope they don't concentrate 100% on the 2nd half and let our fast start (something they just re-learned how to do last game) go to the s***ter. I swear, literaly, a complete game would be a treat to watch!

Definetly not as good as you, but we are Row 11 Sec 214... We are pretty much right behind the visiting goalie, just below 1/2 in the Upper bowl. A nice perk is that we are dead center in the row so no annoying people getting up for Potty breaks during play. I absolutely love the location of them and won't be moving unless we can get lower bowl seats next year. My best friend and his wife have tickets two sections over in row 8 so we can see each other from our seats. The philly game will be bitter sweet as I traded my Kesler and the Canucks tickets to her boss to get this game so he could take his dad to the canucks game... Bummer because I really wanted to see him again after the game, but I will just have to wait until Playoffs or next season.

With two most recent games I was happy to see that Ozzie is coming out right about the middle of the pack so far in stat wise. He doesn't have to win each and everygame for me, just enough to get us into the post season. My wife just informed me that her boss is giving back our tickets (he bought them off of us for Xmas present to his dad and the day was bad) so that we can now go to Thursdays game against the flyers... Yeah I was a little overzealous about selling tickets this year to get money back, that I sold us right out of the 2nd half. Haha! I might be going to Thursday's game as well! *crosses fingers* My Dad keeps mentioning it, and well one of his friends works for this company in which they get tickets all the time..and when he doesn't go he'll give them to my Dad for him to take my sis, and I, and recently he's been asking if I want to go to the game on Thursday and im like OF COURSE! So im thinking he's got the tickets. Excellent, triple the support We will try to get there for warmups... I am picking Jeni up from Wayne State so we will already be down there...Not sure what Jersey Jeni will have on, either her Osgood or her Legace I would gather...I will be wearing my Rivers jersey that night.

from what I can tell... Scored 3 goals in the first 22 mins of the game and then decided it was Sleepy time and watched passively as the stars scored 6 unanswered. Gotta love the Quick starts we are getting now!

Yeah, then when Manny gets hurt by somebody running him in the playoffs (which the wuss Wings would not avenge) then Howard can play goal, and pass the puck right to the opponent for a goal with one minute left in the game, just like Ozzie did against, I beleive, the Sharks? Maybe that crucial playoff screw-up by Ozzie back before he started shaving is the basis for so many being uneasy with him in goal. I'd just like to know how many times we've been beaten by backup goaltenders? It's got to be a lot of times. Our guys just always seem to let up when the starting goalie is not in. But I guess that would be too much of an adjustment to expect from millionaires! teams ALWAYS seem to play their backups against us... Maybe they realize that when they are in our players just work to pad their stats and fire the biscuit from anywhere and never really getting a hard shot to save. The team has been handcuffed by backups for as long as I can remember.

Its like the team is a bunch of kids that need constant direction on how to play... They get scored on early and come back late, so the Coach stresses "COMING OUT QUICK" so they do that and then slack late in the game. Playing a complete game is something they find very hard to do. Maybe an ammendment to the rules in the new NHL could allow for a coach to strap on the skates and then skate hand in hand with the players to show them how they are supposed to play the entire 60 mins. I could only watch the 2nd half of the game and I am amazed we had a 3-0 lead at all... the Wings played HORRIBLE in the half that I saw.... Then again we couldn't muster a goal in the last what? 38mins.

Funny how Turco was pulled after only letting in three and Babs always leaves Ozzie in until the goals reach 6.

I have an idea its fresh and original... Waive Ozzie, Bring up Howard to sit on the bench the rest of the season because with Manny we are going to win the rest of the game AND go 16 and out in the Post Season Losses happen, the team fell apart (6 unanswered goals in unacceptable!)... sucks yeah! end of the world? NO!

[sarcasim] We all can see how the New NHL and lack of defense is helping Broduer become the top goalie in the NHL this year. I highly doubt our stellar defense would be able to keep up with him in his drive to the Stanley Cup. [/sarcasim] Broduer has been anything but good this season. Coming to our team and our subpar defense would just makes this seasons stats go farther in the dumps. Broduer was good in his prime... but he is no longer in his prime and probably won't be again...Unless he gets a bolstered up Defense in front of him to finish out his career with. All three of our goalies playing this year have done better than him... Trading for him??? DUH!

My guess is the Wings staff are going to be even more critical of Manny's health since he falsified his health last time costing him to miss almost a month now of games during an important stretch.

Never been to disney land, but once they open a Disney Vacation Club resort there it will be well worth it to use our points and head over there! J4J came out from Texas and we had a blast. Disneyland was soo much funnnn!!! I still can't believe we made it from 9am to 9pm in the park! I was like please shoot me now! lol Wow congrats that is a super long time to be in there at one shot. If the heat out there is anything like Florida I would want to kill my self also. We usually leave the park and head back to the Hotel for a bit to cool off and then go back at night. Our hotel is immediately across from Pleasure Island, so that is always a good place to hit late at night.

So yeah I am going to watch the opening kick off of my first EVER Lions game tonight... Mainly out of Morbid Curiosity. But none the less it's my first LIONS game... Yeah I am Lions virgin I know. BUt what can you do when you can't stand the team
