I am fairly confident you wouldn't be around here if you had to live through the 80's being a fan of a winning team is safe, cool, and effortless.. Being a fan of a losing team is hard and takes effort, and is sometime hard to talk about and brag about to other people So what you are saying is as the wings start to wind down their winning ways, we can expect you to jump ship to the next shiney winning team? I hear colorado is doing pretty well this season... you are probably equidistant from them as you are the wings... Maybe a new winning team for you soon? Note: for being a fan of winning YOU SURE AS HELL PREDICT THEM TO LOSE A LOT... 100% of the time?!

People are freaking out way to much over 10 games and ready to far into it... Even at the rate ozzie is playing we will still make the playoffs. Perhaps that means the rest of the players have to raise their game up. Perhaps the defense needs to bust their ass and stop sucking like they have been consistently for the last year and half (or however long that s***ty D-man turned ass-co McCrimmon has been here) Nothing i have seen ozzie do this season makes me think we are at all concernced about missing the playoffs. Is vancouver effectively out of the playoffs... because Luongo played like pure s*** too that game (giving up 5 goals) Something tells me they will be in the thick of the race come april despite Luongos nights of absolute letdowns. and i once again state... watching each game not knowing if they will win or not is WAY MORE EXCITING then going into the games knowing the outcome will be a win. It stretches the spectrum of emotion by magnifing it. What the point of getting upset during the game if you knew they would win every game. Now you have to rise and fall with every minute of the game. Will the wings come back tonight in the 3rd like they did so many times in the years past??? OMG i don't know maybe they wont... EXCITING TO WATCH!

why bust your ass and tucker yourself out when the real season is what really matters. I never heard the wings EVER use the excuse they were just too gassed to continue... yet i heard that plenty of times last run. Perhaps they are all playing with a little less effort to conserve for the real run about 72 games from now. Which i have no problem with... it got old watching and knowing they were going to win every game. now it adds a little spice in our lives and makes the games more fun to watch. I enjoy the diversity on the ice as well as the way it affects people on here.

Ah i see, it would suck if they had to split... i wonder who would get his house... its such a pretty thang! i would miss driving by it on the way home from work every day!!!! there was also rumors he was a druggy and alchy. Alas nobody but he himself knows the real reason for the time off. All we as fans should care about his he came back and took us to the last possible game of the finals. Nothing more then a parellel to "our" legal system. he is the lawyer collecting the pay and making sure things are finished up correctly... J-Ho is the paralegal who does all the paralegal dirty work. whats the need to defend really... he is great when needed down the stretch in the playoffs. he is a playoff performer. he can play piss poor for the 82 games and let the backups or whatever get the w's.... all that matters is he is able to get the final 16 we need. and he came as close you could possibly last season.

i was getting pissed... to make things worse I just bought an HDMI-to-DVI cables to try to see how that hook-up works... I had those expensive ass Monster cables from BestBuy which i now have all packed up ready to return. But i was sitting there with my fiancee and I am like, "uhhh this cable is pure s***... that picture is HORRIBLE for hd!!" then i flipped to ESPN and saw how clear that was, i knew it was a channel issue at that point. Then she said, its must not be showing in HD which floored me because its on a freak hd channel. well at least i wasnt the only one with this issue and its a programming issue, not my HDMI-DVI cable issue. according to TV Guide the game is on channel 201 (Comcast) which is FSDhd.... where is these schedules that say which are broadcast in HD on the HD channel and which are broadcast in SD on the hd channel? and where does Matt get the HD information for the wall papers?

so here is a dumb question... where are only some games shown on FSNHD actually in HD? Why aren't all games shown on the FSDHD channel shown in HD? whats the point of even having a HD channel turned on if they are simply going to add those stupid FOXSPORTSDETROIThd banners on the sides and play a fuzzy standard signal in the middle... couldn't they just turn that channel to the "testing" pretty color lights with a message that says, "not tonight"

think of this as an election... do you consider your candidate a definitieve WINNER or LOSER with only 10% of the voting districts in??? i think not therefore... start to worry after 75% of the decisions are in.... no point in premature worrying

92 points is all it took last season to get into the 8th spot... and yes... for the piss poor effort all of our "stars" are having... getting what was 8pts in 8 games out of that mess was pretty damn good! Excellent would have been 16points 8 games and Horrific would have been 0 points in 8 games. now that we have 8pts in 9 games we are just doing pretty good (removing the 'damn' as we are not getting a point per game anymore)

as SWF says... its ONLY TEN GAMES in to the season.... How many have reset your LIFETIME MPG on your car while driving and notice when you take your foot off the gas it goes up to 112MPG.... do you assume that is your actual mpg... or do you wait for a few miles/days/weeks to find the true average of around 31.8mpg.... same goes for these, they will have sharp spikes and drops with such a little sample... basic math
