doesn't matter how he is in the "pre-season" (aka all games leading up April 14th) stat wise as long as he gets some W's along the way... which he did last years "pre-season". He can play like s*** all year and take us to the finals for all i care... thats what matters most. last year Ozzie and the wings were better than every other team in the NHL (minus the penguins in 4 games). I can live with that at the end of the night anyways Wings>Cloutier>Biron he wouldn't last past a physical in this town

yup... i would recommending not buying tickets anywhere but a licensed broker and/or ticketbastard for this one.

warmups usually go about 30-45mins before the drop of the puck... doors open about 1 hour before game time... i would say get there 1-1/2 hours early to make sure you miss nothing. its pretty nice outside anyways.

I gotta bowl tonight at 7:30 but in between tosses towards my 300 game i will scope out the game on the Alleys tvs

Not really... those were overseas exhibition games.. they don't count towards the real season... played on North American Soil with the home fans in attendance! This is the official start to my Red Wings hockey season! not to mention NO regular season games in October start at effing 3pm on a friday nor 3pm on a saturday! Hockey is a 7pm or later game... when its dark out and there is no glare from the sun on your TVs

they could just do what they do in pond hockey... A penalty in the final min of play automatically results in a goal. the only problem with anything is that you are going to see a wealth of players diving and s*** at the ends of games to try to get their team a much needed penalty shot!

LMAO... that sounds like a worst case scenario for a fan of a perinial s***ty team. For fans of a team that has been dominant for so long over their rivals... worst case is.... coming in second in the central. We are at no risk of not making the playoffs. Goalies have come and gone (worse ones) and we have still managed to make the playoffs and dominate the west. You're worst case scenario is more like an opposing fans "pipe dream" or "christmas wish list"

Not bring up this whole mess again... but what exactly did hasek being the starter really have to deal with anything other than he had to be replaced for any amount of success in the post season. I mean Hasek played what 3-1/2 games and ozzie played 18-1/2 games?? We don't need ozzie to be the playoff opener starter to win... we need ozzie to be the playoff closer! So what you are saying is that if osgood starts the first game we wont win the cup but it will be okay if he plays the next 3+ rounds to win the cup... gotcha! and I like it!
