Pre-GAME 1 (4/26): Sharks @ Red Wings - 7:30 PM ET
spartansbleedgreen replied to Hatchet Barry's topic in General
The Red Wave is fresh water, too bad for the Sharks. I'll be the loud mouth in Sec 203A, row 12 seat 10 with the Red and White mullet as usual. Wings win 4-2 with an empty netter and 2PPG. Nabby get's real familiar with Franzenstein's ass (I think he even gets distracted by it, San Jose is awful close to San Fran you know). -
Convince me why I shouldn't be dreading this series....
spartansbleedgreen replied to Packer487's topic in General
Keys to this series: 1. Stay out of the box! i'm looking at you Bob and J-O-O (schnieder). Their power play was terrible against Nashville and I'm sure they have been focusing on remedying that so lets not give them a change to figure out was what wrong and test their new methods. Similiar to Calgary in the regular season their power play destroyed us. We can't let that happen now when it counts. 2. Play OUR game. Puck possesion negates their stong offence. simple logic. Keep the puck off their forwards sticks an on our own and we don't have to worry about who is on the ice. This will also wera down their younger defence and pressure them into mistakes which we MUST capitalize on. 3. Play though the bounces and poor officiating. We all know this is going to come up. keep our heads up and face the adversity balls to the wall. 4. support Dom by clearing the net. they are going to put major traffic in front of the net to screen and disturb Dom. take care of it. 5. wear them down with our grit. Clears I'm looking your way. Keep it up buddy. Mule, Bert and Calder all need to keep grinding and frustrating their D and good things will happen. -
can you imagine if this had happened in the front end of back to back games. another reason back to back should NEVER be scheduled in the playoffs.

Dear Red Wings, Score 1 or more goals than the Flames in 4 games out of the next 7. See ya at the Joe Joe

Datsyuk Signs 7-year, $46.9M Contract Extension
spartansbleedgreen replied to Matt's topic in General
I have been one of Dats biggest critics of the past few years, hence the sig, but I can honestly admit he has been realy matured and come into his own. This signing really excites me. Since December he has showed, both with and without Hank, that he can contribute offensively and lead the team. He has improved dramatically defensively! I have no reservations in saying Dats will produce in the playoffs this year. He has turned me into a believer. I've been meaning to change the sig, but was apprehensive until after he signed or left, so now it looks like it's time to change. Time to sign Calder and Bert to give Hank, Dats, and Flip a supporting cast that can deliver. I'm so excited for the future of this team. Thank Lord Stanley I have season tickets. Now I just have to figure out how to afford them year and year out. -
I met him this past Oct 17th. It's a great feeling to meet a guy like that. He is a total class act. Congrats!!

If Bob would have taken it, nothing would have changed. He does the exact same thing as Sammy does ever single time he goes on the SO. The entire order of the shootout after Bert was F'd up. Shoud have been Dats, Bert, Rex, Homer, Flip, Mule or Clears

agreed..it's pretty ugly.

there is a an article about his mask and Bishop in general in the march/april issue of inside hockeytown. He basically said he had to get the padding right so it fits him and it's comfortable before he will actually use it. It has a Sawchuck on one side and Crozier on the other. His name is sandwiched between his daughters names in the back with the Wings logo as the O in Ozzie. It's still kinda plain, but it is cool that he honors those two players.

Draper putting enough stank on his break-away slap shots from the cirlce that it goes through the goalies chest and scores.

I've got season tickets as well (sec 203A row 12, $55 per seat). this is my first season. the sad thing is that I'm getting laid off from my job in the coming year so we won't be able to continue going beyond next season. I plan on keeping the tickets in hopes that I can sell them to real fans and put asses in the seats every game until I'm done with school (AGAIN!!!, 4 more fricken years). Then we'll see where I end up. I'll be taking names and numbers in the future for all that are interested. I have been to every single game this season and plan on going to all of the playoff games too. VERY VERY expensive but it is my dream come true so it's been worth every cent. It would be nice to have SOME kind of perk besides the skate at the Joe and the Inside Hockeytown subscription.

you can listen to the audio of the broadcast with the live trade tracker if you aren't in canada

I haven't received anything yet either, I don't get my inside hockeytown magazine until the middle of the month either so maybe I'm just at the end of the mailing list and they aren't there yet.

holy schnikies batman!!! I better start saving. If the Wings get home ice advantage through all 4 rounds and play all 4 home games each round it totals more than my entire regular season ticket package!!!!! It will be worth it though.

I'll be there...I'm the guy with the Red and White mullet. I hope everyone brings their tissues.
