i don't care about kraft macaroni and cheese. at some point loyalty becomes a burden. draper and maltby have been beyond BRUTAL all year. actually maltby has been overall a little better than draper. we have a load of talent waiting to come up from grand rapids. so who do we lose to get them in the lineup? filpulla? hudler? franzen? no thanks. zonk out drapes and maltby. they don't even kill penalties well anymore.

if holland wants cap room, why not waive/buyout draper and maltby? i'd much rather have two out of (leino, helm, abdelkader) out there.

Well didn't that computer simulation of the series tha accurately predicted samuellson would score 2 goals in game one, also predict us to win in 5, and that we would come back from a 3-0 defecit in the 3rd period?

If we win the cup, I'd guess we lose... Hasek, Drake, McCarty, Lilja for sure. And Chelios, Maltby and Samuelsson on the bubble. I'd see what kind of camp our kids have (Abdelkader, Leino, Helm, Erricson, Kindl, Ryno, Ritola,) and go from there. I can't really think of a UFA I would really want this year, excpet maybe Ryan Malone.

well i'm getting screwed here in canada too. TSN is supposed to be showing the Wings game, but it is the Masters. is there anything worse than golf? i think every golfer and announcer should be beaten with a broom handle.

only in the modern NHL does this crappy team weasel it's way into the playoffs. how many shootout wins do they have? 14??? so just a few years ago, those would have been 14 ties, not 14 wins. that'd leave them with a record of 24-33-19 for a points total of 67. Tampa Bay and LA have 66 pts, for the record. f'ing shootout!

Think of it this way... After losing to Anaheim last season I told you that the Wings would.. LOSE Schnieder, Markov, Bertuzzi, Lang, and Calder ADD: Rafalski, Stuart, McCarty, Drake Would you have been excited??? Me neither.

like i said in the other thread. satan could have been had for a prospect and a pick. and fedorov could have been had for something better than ... ted ruth??? maybe ritola or mcgrath. those 2 forwards, along with staurt would have been excellent. no need for hossa or richards or jokinen

i am surprised though that pitt didn't offer up a 2nd round pick for huet. they need him a lot more than washington does. atually, it makes no sense for montreal to even trade huet at all - especially not getting a forward in return. very odd. and what ever happened with the robert lang trade?

You don't have to wait - I'll do it for you right now. "At the end of the day there was nothing out there that made sense to us. Plus, with Cleary coming back before the playoffs, we felt that was equivalent to adding a player at the deadline. I like our chances going forward."

We needed a top six forward - period. Since the summer! And we never got one. We now have about 6 forwards who i can see not scoring again this season.

I just love how Holland had admitted since last summer that we NEEDED a TOP SIX forward ... and then eh sa on his hands all season. Our offense is super-thin. Right now we only have TWO forwards who I am comfortable with producing. and we have about 6 who I am confident may not score again this season.
