Yes, exactly like D-mac. He has no business in the NHL this year either. I see the point some have made that moving the trade dealine to early January would take away from deadline day ~ but I don't really llike the idea of rental players anyway. it feels cheap to me. a team should struggle through the season together. i think a big part f it is the idea of a player being a rental and then going back to his original team. perhaps if they put in a rule, where the player cannot return to the team that traded him the following year, sort of like the rule when they gave teams a chance to buy out players after the lockout, then maybe the deadline day would seem a but more legit. also, the thing with forsberg is HE STILL isn't sure when he will be ready, if at all. he just signed the contract IN CASE he can play at some point.

This bulls*** needs to stop. Selanne, Neidermeyer, Forsberg - if these ******* can't hack the rigor of a full season, then they should retire. Solution: You MUST be on an NHL roster as of Nov 1st to play that season. And move the trade deadline to the first week of January. Rental players are a joke. Half-season players are a joke. And Forsberg's case, playing only in the playoffs is the biggest joke.

As much as this whole debacle irritates me, I hope we do get to play them again in the playoffs. I miss the Avs rivalry. I need a team to hate. I've hated Burke since the 2002 Vancouver series, I've hated Pronger for a few years now - add the michelin man goalie and lil punk perry to the recipe and we've got a team I look forward to whooping the ass off in May.

I am confused by this. Does it mean that only the attacking defensmen can not advance into the zone past the new line? if so wouldn't that leave them standing out there alone, while their forwards are being covered 5 on 3??? And if it means that neither team's defensemen can advance into either zone past that line, doesn't that stop the defensemen from defending the goalie???

The main reason that Howard will never get a shot in Detroit is that the front office will never go with a rookie goalie as long as the team keeps winning. If the Wings were in rebuilding mode or were having a mediocre to horrid season, then I think you would see Howard inserted. But as long as they remain a Cup contender, you just are not going to see a green goalie given the reigns.

it's not the team's fault, retards. any of you who are "giving up" on this team are pathetic. this game is simply on a combo of bad breaks and weak Hasek. the team otherwise has played great.
