well if luoango wants to win with the panthers, it would be smart for him to take less money so the team can AFFORD to get better. Im so tired of the whiny players who want to play for a contender, but demand so much money in this "new" cap world. Khabibulin is probably the big reason why the hawks wont be successful, because they cant really afford to build on what they have. There are talks to start all over again in chicago. I think that Osgood needed to be taken out of that game after the 3rd goal. After that one, he lost all confidence, as was flailing around his crease like a fish out of water. Osgood needs to be babied into goal, and he needs to save almost everything, or else his feelings get hurt and he throws a little fit and checks out. Then he recites a famous Cartman quote "Screw you guys... I'm goin home" I'm sorry, but its just too easy to pick on this guy

No offence, but judging by your username, I'm kinda guessing you are going to go with Manny no matter what happens. Anyway, I'm not gonna sweat over it. The deal is, Osgood was signed by the Wings for a good reason. And one bad game like this doesn't detract from the last 10 he's played in, or his stats over the last 10 or so years. Also, in case anyone missed it in my last posts, OSGOOD PLAYED BAD. HE HAD A BAD GAME. He should NOT have let in most of those goals. Dude, get over yourself. Manny has yet to have a game like this this year, or in any recent history that i can remember. Osgood has had quite a few... Ozzie bashing is going to happen because he is 100% deserving of it. He is clearly not even earning his 900K Expect to see him on the bench for quite some time. Hell manny would have to allow 8 goals in one game to suck as much as osgood

The thing that many bashers need to remember is that even though osgood has been number one in the teams hes played on, he has only played 30 more games in the last three seasons combined than manny has. Also, Osgood had god awful numbers on those teams... manny has Osgood beaten in every catergory in the last three seasons, that is saying a lot Osgood hasnt gotten a thing on Manny regarding this season, or the last three years in fact. However, I have full trust in Babcock's decisions, and I believe that whichever goalie is playing better come playoff time should get the nod, even if its Howard or MacDonald. Look at JS Gigure... it CAN be done.... And he was on a s***ty team... BUT they DID have Babcock

2 things: Legace hasnt gotten the chance to start for a large amount of games because he has been hurt. He doesnt have the endurance to be a number one. Legace and Osgood havent played together before this year. Legace's first season with Detroit was 99-00. Osgood's backup in 98 was either Maracle or Hodson, I dont remember.. Get over it Osgood isnt going to do this club any good. Manny has what we who are educated past the 9th grade CONSISTENCY(sp?)! Look at Osgoos and Mannys numbers from the last 3 or 4 years. Yeah, manny has played about 30% less games than Osgood, but his numbers blow Osgood and his size XXS jock strap right out of the water. Osgood lovers base their argument on 1998 "The cult of Manny" can all say that their goaltender has been much more consistent, and deserves a chance in the playoffs. Maybe if we were ditching Osgood maybe, but the fatc of the matter is Osgood is sub-par, and I dont think Holland would rest the team on a goalie who has played one game in the NHL If you are going to strut around here like you know something, why not back it up?
