Is there NHL hockey on broadcast TV anywhere in this country anymore? Besides the scraps NBC throw us once in a while. You might be able to get CBC, but its much more difficult since they went Digital. Take a look....Red, Yellow, and Green areas should be good with an antenna you stick in the window or put on the wall:

They've settled on Seattle, but Seattle isn't cooperating at all...as far as we know. I heard Bob McKenzie talking about this the other day, and his sense is also that the league won't do a one-off expansion for just Vegas....there would have to be at least one other city at the same time. The only city that fits the bill at this point is QC, but that ruins the "alignment", unless they get creative with conferences and divisions and whatnot.

Tack on a 400 million dollar RELOCATION fee, and I think this would work.

I don't think Babs wants full GM responsibilities, but the idea is that he would like more say in roster management. This is extremely unlikely to happen with our existing KH at the helm. Powers won't be stripped away from him, and rightly so (even if I do disagree with him). This leaves Babs with the option of seeking a fresh new deal with a team that is willing to share GM powers, to some extent, with him and a new GM that he had a say in picking. This just can't happen with Holland in town.
