Watched this one, it became obvious in the second period that Price was going to steal the game for them. At times during the game, the Bruins were peppering him with shots, and he just kept swatting them away. I love the playoffs

This is a Red Wings forum. Obviously the answer is a rock solid defense and when that is accomplished, worry about offense. I don't know why Ken Holland can't figure that out. Did he not watch any games the last twenty years?

It's already been pointed out elsewhere that Mantha is disqualified from playing in this AHL postseason due to not being on the roster prior to the end of the regular season. This applies to DeKeyser as well.

Detroit, in the 90s and 00s, had an image of being classy in that it upheld a long history of the game (this isn't about winning the Lady Bing, don't get hung up on zero penalties and pure skill), but I don't think the current management has maintained that in the past couple of seasons. Yzerman seemed to have much to with that, and then Lids retiring felt like he took the handbook on class with him back to Sweden. The Winged Wheel now feels like it's getting tarnished, and I never felt quite like that in the past, first round embarrassments or not. Pav and Z are model players, but that just doesn't seem to be enough.

I agree. Look at the squad that Jarmo put together over the course of a couple seasons. They function as a team,and have a real chance of bouncing s***sburgh and Cindy from the first round.

Put Franzen on LTIR for mental issues
