Wings in seven. Will squeak into the next round, hopefully not too battered. Hank will be there to greet them anyway, so its all good. The fact that they won the season series 3-1 is being completely ignored by the media.

Ducks in 5. Dallas pulls off one win, but they wouldn't be in the playoffs if the Yotes hadn't had a playoff-run collapse second only to the Leafs. Selanne lives to play another round.

It looks like the Hawks easily here, but the playoffs are always a whole new game. Blues will get their groove back late, but the Hawks will win in six.

I agree with the Dats opinions in here...he doesn't LOOK like his play is off due to nagging pain, he looks like he just hasn't gotten back into shape completely. I hope that is the case. Kronner, Alfie, Howard....rest them. Now how about Helm? He's playing great, but has some serious bad history with injuries, as everyone here knows. Why risk it for two meaningless games?

I think you guys are going to feel something like when Scotty Bowman went to the Hawks...albeit in a minor role, but he still was in the front office and did photo ops in a Hawks jersey! That was difficult to take.

What is this? A Red Wings only forum? One of the oldest threads that pops up from time to time is about the Leafs. Anyhow, I think Trotz would be great in Edmonton. I wouldn't wish it on him to go up to Vancouver...

Meh. Columbus actually needs to make the playoffs to help grow the game in Ohio. Continually losing year in and year out is not good at all. For that reason, I hope they actually get out of the first round this year.

Yep, they do deserve a better team. You have to feel bad for a city that lives and breathes hockey and has the history that they do. Anyone who hasn't been there for a game and a visit to the HOF needs to go so you can see what I'm talking about. The Leafs have turned into something along the lines of the Detroit Lions of hockey. What a joke. No Original Six team should be a perennial loser, year after year after year. It's just not in the best interests of the game.

Two awards. The Conn Smythe is huge, a recognition of a huge part of why you get the "one prize that really matters", imo. Who turns on beast mode in the playoffs is well worth the recognition.

The NHL actually did the right thing by postponing the game. Wow. Hope he can get back on the ice soon. Perhaps one of these newish implantable heart devices can help

Weiss hasn't adapted to the Wings system yet. Holland made a bet that he could, and it hasn't worked out yet. The guy needs some hands-on, one-on-one coaching to transition from the "bad habits" he learned all the years in Florida, but Babs doesn't seem like the type to offer that. I can see a trade in the middle of next season if nothing changes. -
Gus/Leggy/Mule line is great, just works, and can get the team into the playoffs along with the Kid Line helping out. Very pleased. However, this team's defense is franking Swiss cheese. Ugh.
