Trades start any time or they have to be officially done with Bettman announcements? Would like to see some movement today. I think most GMs are waiting to make trades before dumping players via buyout. If they're all here in one room today, seems like the time. Or they could just wait two days and then do it *sigh*

The fun begins in only a few days...this should be cool, with a compressed one-day draft and trade/buyouts. The only thing I am already sad about is that Brian Burke will not be there to pull the trigger on hilarious trades that people will talk about for years. On topic, what do you guys think about a potential Filppula rights trade to Columbus for a low pick? Columbus's new GM was Val's GM during the lockout in Finland. I think Jarmo will be making some waves.

Kabs will go for 2.5 or so, nothing we need. BUT.... I am liking that we're seeing some bigger names pop up now, that means more activity....nearly every team should be using at least one buyout. More churn, should inspire more trades....should be interesting 10 days from now.
