Well, 70 people chose Dats, and 9 chose Zetterburg. I think its because Pavel is flipping hilarious, and I haven't seen anything that Hank has said that has made me laugh.

And showing up in Czech tabloids? Jiri loves prostitutes

Apparently NBC thinks hockey needs to *** it up a bit. Really stupid...hockey coverage needs more women. Its a sausage fest as it is...I guess that's how Pierre likes it, though.
-
And the KHL continues to be the B League for the NHL's rejects and those that can't get their heads straight. Bye Zherdev!
-
Fox stations will be limited to 1st round playoff coverage only. NBC Sports will have more exclusive season games than before, as well.
-
LOL I have no idea what you're talking about, sir!

This is one of the Wings scouting gems in the rough. Yet another undrafted player with potential to be a solid player. I'm glad to see the Red Wings still have the ability to come up with guys like this He's 24 now...I wonder if Peters and Blashill being added to the staff will enable more call-ups of guys like this, and less young talent languishing perhaps too long in the minors.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned LGW's own unofficial home-grown Wings-only streaming...I'm not going to post specifics publicly. Its always been high-quality and reliable. During the playoffs this year after the Wings bowed out, I used myp2p.eu, which worked well once I sifted through loads of sub-par streams and found a decent one.

Awesome, Strader is an upgrade for Versus/NBC. It looks like this new re-named and re-launched Versus channel might be pretty impressive. A regular ESPN rival, if you will. NBC/Comcast is positioning for MLS rights and the World Cup, more College sports, the new NFL thursday games, perhaps even some MLB rights. And of course they have Olympic rights, so I think we'll finally have decent, dedicated hockey coverage for Sochi. Maybe we'll even have the Worlds broadcast in the US for a change. Just think, they were showing Star Trek on this channel just a few years ago.

Hey, thanks for that, good stuff. I'd like to see a little Ozzie/Drapes combined tribute...maybe the official Wings site will make one. Well, now its just Lids and Homer from the old guard... So, who is still playing from the old days? I see Stacey Roest is playing in Switzerland...Anders Eriksson is playing in Sweden...does anyone remember Golubovsky? Hes playing in Austria. And of course Kozlov and Fedorov are playing in the Motherland. The only guys who are from the 97/98 and 98/99 teams not playing overseas are Philippe Audet (I didn't even remember him??) who is playing in the LNAH league in Quebec, and Mike Knuble, who of course is playing for the Caps. Pretty small group. I probably overlooked someone.

Yeah, compared to the logo in the bottom right, the new Jets logo looks like a quick draft or sketch. I wonder if they even saw that old logo...its fantastic!
-
And how does the new logo look better than this?
-
WOW! The new logos look like amateur-level s***!
-
From twitter: LOL. My thoughts exactly. That logo sucks! I guess we'll see what the real deal is in just a few minutes. I hope for an updating of the vintage themes. WTF is that anyway?

I really think the article is about the Detroit Lions and has nothing to do with the Wings or their fans. The writer must be a NFL-only fan and just is ignorant to how the rest are, including us. If that is the case, then I can understand why he wrote it, but it makes absolutely no sense. How can you stand by a team (the Lions) who are a disgrace? The ownership has run it into the ground and there is almost nothing respectable left about the organization as a whole. If you say true fans stick with a team like that no matter what...you're a lemming.

Ah, an Yzerman appreciation thread never gets old around here And really....who the hell, as a hockey fan of ANY team, would punch Stevie in the face?
-
Hes an upgrade over Commie, but its too late for that Plus, someone will overpay for him, I'm sure.
-
B- He had some good signings, and didn't make any HUGE missteps, but the Ericsson deal was a huge overpayment. And he could have been more aggressive with regards to the backup goalie situation. And Hudler is still on the team.
-
I have yet another thing to remind me that I'm old. It seems like yesterday that Ozzie was a kid backing up Mike Vernon. Ah man... Goodbye to another Detroit classic.
-
The Helene St. James piece in the Free Press is several hours older than the 3 articles saying he will retire.
-
Yeah, Khan at M-live just reported 15 minutes ago that Osgood is apparently set to retire. MLive

Ok folks, cool down...you're chasing away the 20 people who even come here during the summer.
