Yeah that goal by Crosby on Miller was a good one, but watching the clips online (I cannot find one with a slow-mo replay???) shows me that Thomas might have had a chance. Ah, what could have been... Also, thats super cool about the Perani/Thomas connection in Flint. I hope he does bring the Cup there this summer/fall!

They're saying on twitter that someone has died in the riots in Vancouver...if this is true...wow. I cannot even express my disgust with that city.

And they're trying to grow the game...? An American team that hasn't won since the 70s just beat a Canadian one in Game 7, they have their American goalie hero in Timmy Thomas (Michigan, YES!), and they don't attempt to sell this thing to the unconverted public?

Were you even watching? They cheered Thomas when he hoisted the cup, a pretty damned good cheer for the guy on the opposing team. They booed when Bettman was out there. God Bless Vancouver fans for booing that piece of s***.

Ok folks, its game 7...do or die time. This is only the 16th game 7 Final in 97 years. I saw Wolski during his time on the Coyotes...you could tell he is certainly skilled, but there just wasn't enough drive or motivation in his play. It didn't help that he didn't fit into the Yotes style of play really. He would likely be much more suited to the Wings' style. I guess the only questions are, will he respond to mentoring and leadership, and who would be the best man for the job? Dats?

This. I feel inclined to support Vancouver because of the huge fan support they have. They live hockey! As a Michigander now living in Arizona, I have come to loathe apathy towards hockey, and love those who love the game. This is nothing against Bruins fans, they've got a great fanbase for being in the States, but it simply cannot compare. That said, I'd be happy if Boston won, too. Timmy Thomas is awesome. I guess I'm pretty neutral here.

The hit by Rome was, it seems, the wakeup call the Bruins needed. I wasn't impressed with how Boston was playing before the hit. So, Vancouver decided to play the game like classless goons and they lost by 7 goals. Nice work! I do wonder how Luongo is going to shake off the 8 goals he let in for the next game. Vigneault might have made a serious error by not pulling him out much earlier. But then he couldn't make his team play with any kind of discipline so I'm expecting way too much.

Some of the upgrades needed to the Joe seem like they should have been done years ago, which makes me think that the Ilitches are just completely uninterested in any further investment there. Were they waiting for the city of Detroit to pay for them? We could be waiting until the end of time for that. And I'm talking about simple upgrades like new seats, lighting on the concourse, new bathrooms, etc. I love the Joe but they have not kept it up to the standards we expect for a world-class team, not even close. They want a new arena, so I don't blame them. I just wish they would start in on it sometime this decade.

Hmm...Sacramento beat out the Bay Area by a wide margin? Any California folks care to comment? Kind of surprised at the weak showings by both Seattle and Portland. Also, I cannot FREAKING BELIEVE that Albuquerque, NM got better ratings than Phoenix. Ok, Phoenix...you fail. Ft. Myers with a nice showing...move the Panthers 2 1/2 hours west?
