3/19 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Predators 3

Remember a few years back when the Refs weren't as brain-dead? Yeah, we complained then, but not half as much. Those were the days... Seriously though, I don't think any one team's fans are happy with the current state of officiating. Maybe Pittsburgh lol

    Datsyuk is back

AWESOME! Our offense should not be getting shut out anymore! Ok, now lets get a backup goalie and fire McCrimmon. Thanks
  5. And how does that bode for Snow's future signings? Seems like players would be much less inclined to even deal with him. Signing a player when you know he doesn't want to play there...mmmkay.... yeah that makes for a great reputation....

Wings games from comp to t.v

Yeah the Boxee Box, or it works on Roku, too...which is cool, because they're $60 new. I haven't personally tried it though.

Tampa Bay Lightning unveil new logo / jersey

Its an improvement over the tired, old, dated logo and uniforms they are using now...but its lacking something. Its too plain. Still an improvement, though. Why didn't they use the patch logo as the main logo? Its great!

Biz Nasty 2.0 vs Shane Doan

HAHAHA I love Biz Nasty's reaction to "being stuck with Backes" when Doan picked "Kessels" at the end Yeah, put him as a color guy on some broadcasts for sure!

Trade for a new back up?

Yeah, thats very true about loaned players, but where did you see that Larsson was on loan to HV71, Eva? If so, I don't know why Holland doesn't have him here already.

Trade for a new back up?

Ok, Valiquette is playing in the KHL now, Legace is in Germany playing in the DEL, and Dubielewicz WAS playing in the DEL as well, but got released a couple of weeks ago. This would mean he would be subject to the same rules as Nabby was. He'd probably clear waivers though with a 2-8 record / 3.90 GAA On the original post's list...I like Karlsson from the Flames...he's cheap, and relatively young. Doesn't seem like we'd have to give much. Honestly, what about Larsson? His stats are decent this year: 2.26 GAA .925 SV% in 33 games for HV71. We already have his rights...no waiver nonsense. Its a shame because he'd be playing in goal right now, if he hadn't been impatient and waited for his chance. I do think Kenny should reach out to him, though. We need some help.

    Wings Negotiating w/ Nabokov

Daniel F-ing Larsson. Kenny, please fix your mistake and get him back here. You are the best GM in the NHL, but even you are capable of flubs. We don't want another washed up, nearing the end of their career goaltender in Nabby.

2011 All-Star Rosters Game rosters named

So when is Bettman going to go join the KHL and get stuffed in a trunk by the russian mafia? Obviously it makes no sense that Hank is not on the team...either Kenny requested he not go, or its a gigantic snub. Also...no Briere? The Flyers were in the finals last time, and they only get one pick? It seems like Bettman remembers it as "Pens. vs. Hawks"...but I THOUGHT his beloved Penguins got kicked out in the second round. HMMM. Also surprised to see nobody from Buffalo...can't imagine they're happy... Doan gets snubbed in Phoenix...and nobody notices...

Bob Probert passes away at 45

Wow! Poor Bob! What a horrible loss...and a reminder of a different time in Wings history. People in and around Detroit and Windsor loved Probert and the whoopass he regularly dished out. What better hero to have in blue-collar towns like those? A big loss. R.I.P. Bob!

Is Vancouver the team to beat?

I agree, now we have some parity in the West. At the moment, I don't see a clear front runner like we did with Chicago last summer. I guess the question is...with a more even field in the West, are the Wings going to be good enough with basically the same team as last year plus Hudler? I'd say yes, if the defensive mess from last season is fixed...but thats up to Holland. As far as the Canucks go, I think they're going to be one of the top teams in the conference if Luongo gets his crap together. Like someone else said, take the C off his jersey, please.

    The new TBL

Great Job by our man Stevie so far...I'm impressed. Lets see what else he does over the next few days, eh? Meanwhile Holland is taking a nap or something...

Wings, City of Detroit extend lease talks on the Joe

Good. Dave Bing seems like a more reasonable guy than Detroit has seen in quite a long time. Good luck getting the council to help though.

How busy will tomorrow (July 1st) be?

Wings still need a couple of pieces, namely another defenseman. Hopefully Holland will be able to jump into the fray tomorrow and pick up a good one. I see Burke making waves tomorrow...any predictions?

What is it why you're a fan of this team?

HAHA What if they moved to Windsor and were still the Red Wings? How many of you would stop being a fan?

    Wolski Re-signs with Coyotes

I really don't care for this deal. Wolski is only 24...and they sign him a two year deal? After which, he is an UFA???

    Bufyglien traded to Thrashers

I'm confused as to where that even comes from. Ignorance I suppose. The Habs are the Yankees/Lakers of hockey.
