Well the beer festival was awesome. I had a great time out there and had some really good beers. Some that stood out to me: Chai Spice Hefe from Waldorff (by far my favorite new beer that I tried) Tiramisu Stout from the B.O.B.'s Brewery Bourbon Barrel Barleywine from Kuhnhenn Brewing Company Distill My Heart Bourbon Stout by Right Brain Brewery I know a few of you went. What did you think? Me and my girl went to HopCat after the festival, then to Founders where I tried their new Cherry Ale, which was quite good, and very cherry.

I'd have to agree. I love Flip but he seems to lose the puck a lot, whereas Leino is a playmaker and a finisher.

Please, I'm not even being a homer here but to say that the Wings get calls which enable them to win games is simply not true. I will admit last night I was very surprised that they didn't count that goal and that they the Sharks had so many penalties called. OTOH, we got severely screwed in the playoffs on penalties (Holmstrom's ass interference call comes to mind). Doesn't really matter, we still won, but what if a clear no-call that was called had changed the momentum of the series. Hell yeah we'd have a right to *****. And I can understand why a Sharks fan would complain about last night, but she is definitely dreaming when she says the Wings did not play better.

Just out of curiousity, for whoever said that "the team said Osgood is the goalie for the playoffs" I'd like to see a link to a quote on that one. The quote I read said that it depended on his play the rest of the season.

A friend and I were talking about that song and how working in bars we are completely sick of it because people play it so much. Furthermore, she was asking me where the hell is South Detroit? What are these people, from Ohio? Southfield is north of Detroit, and south of Detroit is water and Canada. WTF? Oh, and that song would have been WAY better is they had only faded the announcer clips in and out and kept the music going the whole time.

I have dart league tonight from 7:30-10. Same time as the game, of course. Luckily we have an extra man tonight and I'm the captain, so I'll be scheduling myself to play one match and be done by 8, then sit back with some drinks and watch the Wings bring Nabby down from his pedestal! Their goaltending may be good, but they allowed Dallas so many good chances last night there is no way they should have won that game.

Michigan Brewing Company Celis Grand Cru New Holland Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout also the 2007 Dragon’s Milk New Holland Black Tulip Tripple North Peak Wee Heavy Scotch Ale Short’s Smores Short’s Uber Goober Short’s Soft Parade All of those are beers which I love, but I would recommend checking beers out on ratebeer.com because they describe the palate and flavors of the beers, then you can see if you think you would like them at all before you even try them. OTOH, sometimes it's nice to be surprised.

I for one would like to see these boys go at it. That would be awesome for the league, IMO. I don't give a crap who is bothering who, or who is talking too much, duke it out guys!

Great individual effort. Not his best goal, but to make the play totally by himself is awesome.

Very nice to see Hossa's dedication. Really hope we can keep him. But, as others have said, it's nice to have somebody who can fight on the team so the stars don't need to stand up for themselves. And although yes we are a finesse team, we won games with Downey in the lineup, and he has zero finesse. McCarty won't scare anyone, but he will fight (and he'll probably get hurt too). Now I don't believe the people who say we'll get knocked out of the playoffs because we aren't tough enough, but OTOH Pronger cut Holmstrom's head open, and Cleary of all people fights the guy??? Seriously.

Hudler used to be too easy to knock off the puck, but this season I think he has finally learned how to dance with the puck like Dats does. Franzen is better around the net, but I think that's mostly because of his size.
