Yeah, I have to agree, we have tons of great microbreweries in the States, honestly I think our beer is much better than European stuff, but then again if you like lagers you might disagree as Europe does a lot more of the lighter stuff. My favorite style is IPA and the American style IPAs kick the ass of European style IPAs, at least IMO.

I'm 31 myself, but to be honest I've got a lot more nagging injuries from being a bouncer than I do from playing hockey, tho I did get a boxing fracture in my left hand and I try not to nail anyone in the helmet with it. I really don't want to have to cast it again. Even at my age, we usually play in the 18+ division and these kids want to be all tough but as soon as you knock them on their ass a few times they generally get the message and I usually don't have to throw down. A few weeks ago however we had a bunch of hotheads that wanted to fight as we were shaking hands. I just laugh at stuff like that. I say I've got a cocktail waiting for me at the bar, find me there and we'll talk, ooooh I forgot you can't get into the bar.

Downey is a great player in the sense that he is great on the bench and great at boosting the confidence of the other players, whether it is by words or actions. Well, I started growing my playoff beard for my own hockey team since we started our playoffs before the Wings did. We won the Cup in our league, so I guess it worked. I'll post a pic of the team with the Cup once I have one. Anyway, I figured since we won our Cup it would be good for me to continue growing it for the Wings. Who else has a playoff beard? As another Fisch fan (as you can tell from my av) I think his own words, as quoted in the post above, say it all. He himself says he did not earn it as a player, but he is eligible as a part of management. I think he should get his name on it, but not as a player. To do so would be to cheat the players who contributed this season.

And my friend who got a DUI had to serve a number of days in jail but he did it on "work-release" meaning that he went there right after he got out of work, stayed the night there and then went into work the next day. This is common practice with judges as they don't want you to lose your job unless you REALLY screw up. DUIs are so common that most of them don't consider it REALLY screwing up. And my condolences to the poster who lost friends due to drunk driving...however, MADD is out of control in this country and everyone trying to lower the limits to .06 and all of this BS really pisses me off. If they enact that, I won't legally be able to let one of my customers drive after ONE drink. Not to mention that I live in the wintery state of Michigan and they are trying to force me to make all my customers smoke outside. Back to the original subject, Bell was looking at 6 months for hit and run. If he's a first time offender, that's not out of the ordinary, and they don't send people to prison for short stints (usually anything under a year). That varies from state to state though.
