The girl I am currently dating has never seen me without it, so she just called me to say if she doesn't recognize me without it, I shouldn't take offense. I called a snow day (calling in to work) today to shave my beard and drink because the Wings kick so much ass.

I hung out near the arena and Cobo in 02 and it was pretty crazy. Bars in the area fill to the max. The "Post Bar" was the bar where the Wings players occasionally went after games back then but I doubt it's still the happening place, it's a total dive. I dunno about other areas of the city.

Dunno, I'm not worried. I even think the Wings will win tomorrow and I will partially disagree with you because although I think home ice is overrated, this game is special because if we win it, we have Stanley at home and the players all know that, therefore they will play extra hard.

I will be in Detroit with friends. We won't be watching the game, but there is a hotel lobby almost across the street from Cobo where we will most likely watch the game. And after, who knows. Man I hate that shot. Not because it tastes bad, but because where I bartend it's the most ordered shot and I'm just really sick of making them. I've been doing Royal Flushes for every goal, which is quite similar (Crown Royal, Peach, Cran). And this game came down to lucky bounces, just as I thought. If they don't get that lucky bounce off Ozzy's ass, I truly believe we would have won the game. We had the momentum going in our favor at the end, so even in OT I think we would have won. Oh well, with this experienced squad I'm really not worried about 1 game of adversity, especially a fluky 1 goal loss.

Oh, and in reference to the OP's subtitle, I've been doing a shot for every goal the Wings score in the playoffs, so yeah I've been drinking a lot! Especially game 4 against Colorado, that was brutal, but I couldn't complain! :chug:

Just like in many playoff games, it comes down to lucky bounces. We got lucky that the Pens didn't score a couple of times last game, although they still would not have beaten us. They got lucky in the first game that our goal got called back, because it could have taken the wind out of our sails. Obviously it didn't. Tonight comes down to lucky bounces, as Ozzie is playing great. I think the Wings are fully prepared to take this game as well, but sometimes playing in one's own arena is more of a real, physical advantage than one might think. For instance, how Pronger analyzed the shape of Detroit's rink. Anyway, I think we'll win tonight because yes the Pens are great at home, but they are also rattled right now because they know that the Wings are, top to bottom, a better team. I don't see too many people questioning that. Now in a few years, could be a different story, but wer'e talking right now.

Once more scope I made, taking NFM's ideas into account, so this is a hybrid. It will be on my phone for the game tonight.

Although I am surprised that the Wings don't sell out, the tickets are also way overpriced, which is why I don't get to many games. As stated above, the Tigers get way more people because it is much cheaper. In reference to the OP, it's some bull IMO. While they do have the right to do what they want, why would you as a business want to alienate anyone? Just tell your fans they had better buy up the tix before the Wings fans do.

So I'm going to be at a campground tonight. They have wireless internet and I have my laptop, so does anyone know of a video feed so I can watch the game? If not, I'll be driving blindly to find a bar to go to but I'd rather stay at the campground if I can watch the game.
