Unless of course your moral values don't allow you to break the law.

I'd have to agree with Maltby being my biggest disappointment. He is still an agitator and draws penalties but his stickhandling (which was bad before) is awful now, and he just seems to be getting too old.
-
You wouldn't want to say that to my woman.

Hasek>Brodeur>Roy (in their primes) and I don't need stats to tell me that, I've watched them play. Roy was technically perfect but Brodeur was better mentally. Hasek had a crazy style that enabled him to make saves no one else could but it also cost him goals at times.

Holy crap, I can't believe that Columbus took down Anaheim. Yay! Then again, I can't believe that Boston took us down.
-
They certainly do hate us. Wow, it's not my fault I was born in Michigan and our team is #1.

I wish I could have been there, sounds like fun. I don't know what the Tootoo whistle is but yeah, it would be really annoying if someone blew a whistle every time a player came on.

I'm not saying don't try it now if Zetts is hurt when Bert comes back. But to do it just to try it out would be dumb...the harm is this: Losing games.

I love that one, it made me LOL. My suggestions: Kick everyone's asses, especially Tootoo Boot to the head Put the biscuit in the basket

Bertuzzi is a better overall player than Homer, but that doesn't mean he would be more effective on that line. You simply don't break up the #1 scoring line in the NHL no matter who is on it.

I think the slogan should be "Kick everyone's asses, especially Tootoo."

It's a device that will (hopefully) restart his heart if he has another cardiac arrest. It's essentially the same thing that they used on him at the arena to restart his heart but he wears it on him now so that whoever is with him can instantly use it without having to bring in an ambulance or what not.

Actually it affects us all (and myself personally in a few specific ways). Also, I'm not making a personal judgment on it, I believe in God and He said it is wrong, but you are correct, this is not the place to discuss that.

The interview with Fisch just got over. Some points of interest: Fisch is wearing an external defibrillator 24/7 since the incident. He is still doing physicals and has started working out more aggresively. His fiance doesn't want him to play again, but he hasn't ruled it out. They still don't know the exact reason for his cardiac arrest, but they know certain causes and are trying to narrow it down. Basically it doesn't sound hopeful that he will play again, but he is putting on a smile and keeping his hopes up which is probably the best thing for him, physically and mentally.

Interesting, because I find homosexuality obscene, however I understand why you would be upset if there were anti-*** comments on the you tube page. However, what I said was not anti-*** at all. Although I personally think that it is morally wrong and it also has no place on the ice (or in the locker room, for that matter), I would never jump to conclusions on this sort of thing which was obviously a joke between two players.

Seriously dude, shut the hell up. I simply said that I would personally feel strange doing that. I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, nor did I judge anyone.

I'm not sure I would say it was intended to be smart, I think he just got his ass whooped.
-
Yeah, that is totally funny, although I personally would feel weird with my arm around another guy unless I was holding him so I could punch him.

Umm, what is it I'm not right about? And FYI the reason why I followed the Tigers playoffs is because a lot of my friends got excited about them, so just being in their company made the game exciting for me even though I find the sport itself boring.

As for me, my name is Joshua and I'm 29. I became a Wings fan in high school so I hadn't really been watching them that long. Coming off the severe disappointment of the 96 season I was elated when they took Colorado out in 97. After they won the first 3 games of the Finals I convinced my buddy (not nearly as big a fan as I am) that it would be worth it to drive 2 hours to Detroit. I told him that they would win it that night and that we needed to be in Detroit when it happened. We watched the game at a hotel right across the street from Cobo Hall. My favorite player was Darren McCarty so to see him score the GWG was a wish come true for me (although I still like his hat trick against Roy better). We flooded the streets and celebrated!

That's what I was thinking too.

Nashville has a great team and just like the success in Carolina, I think that people will become fans over time. I hate it when people use the bandwagon term because we all became fans at some point. For instance, I find baseball boring but since the Tigers did so well last year I decided to start watching them. That makes me a bandwagon fan, but better that than no fan at all, right? OTOH, I think Wings fans have the right to be very proud of our team, the history, and the success we have enjoyed the last decade or so. That doesn't mean we need to be arrogant, but if a fan of another team says that we suck I personally have no problem telling him he's an idiot because of our 3 Cups (and I was in Detroit each time we won it, so I feel my devotion affords me some prideful words).

I loved it when he was with the Blues and he tore his ACL going after Yzerman. Dumb ass!!! No love lost for me with that guy.

Good article. Over half of my career goals are deflections, so I'm considered the Holmstrom of my team and I'll be the first to say that it's not easy, in fact sometimes it gets a bit scary when you have a guy slashing you and then at the same time you have a puck whizzing right at your nuts.

Cool story and cool pics. I really doubt that people playing in an abandoned building gave a crap whether it dulled their blades.
