This thread is dumb. Even I don't mind a long series. I agree there were some missed calls but we still could have won it and that penalty by Ericcson was his own fault. Also, RedLightGoesOn, ur sig needs updating.

I think it speaks a lot to the team that we've done so well without Datsyuk. How would Pitts play if Crosby or Malkin were out?

Yeah, Ericcson was just being lazy, I'm not too sure what was up with that he is usually very good.

Datsyuk back = win next game Also, I thought it was funny they called a trip on Zetterburg then a trip at the other end of the ice which was not called. Too many men was nasty too, but we should still have won. This wasn't the same team we saw in the first 2 games. I'm not too worried though.

I actually agree with him that Ozzy isn't an elite goalie (like Roy for instance, as much as I hate the guy), but he's a very good goalie and Detroit is still an elite team with him in net. How he says that their are no elite teams left is beyond me.

I agree nobody should be cocky, however my roommate and I have been saying for weeks that the winner of Anaheim and Detroit would take the Cup. Of course things could happen and we could lose, but Detroit is definitely the best team left. Hell, I even thought so at the beginning of the season which is why I put $100 down on them to repeat. I wasn't cocky about it, but I just saw the Wings as still being the best team in the league. I haven't changed my mind on that. The Ducks scared me a lot, but the Wings showed their championship experience in game 7.

The two that I have heard the most (and both of which are readily seen on the Ducks' board) is that the city of Detroit is a dump (ok, but why does that matter?) and that the Wings dive to get penalties called on the other team. They seem convinced that the euro players are so soft that they dive all the time.

If you are talking about me being a troll on your board, that's not the case. I've been a member there for over a year and I try to talk intelligent hockey, although TBH it's pretty hard to do on that board.

The good thing about bad bounces is that they tend to even themselves out. That, plus the fact that the Wings are the better team means a win tonight. Just bring the passion boys.

His website is pretty funny actually. I especially like the Ken Campbell blog he posted about how the Ducks will beat the Wings. Also, the videos are pretty funny, some of them are pretty old.

Yeah, that doesn't really surprise me I guess. I've heard that some of the most feared/loathed players are a lot of fun off the ice.
