I get the need for mitigation of potential pending cognitive disonence, either way I expect a pretty epic effort by both teams.

At 41 years old I've seen enough to expect the Cup Curse on Vancouver but that hardly means last season was a disappointment, I'll take a loss in game 7 of a cup final every year if other fans aren't interested unless it means actually taking home the prize Back to this game though, the comments here suggesting that it matters no more than two points make for entertaining literary calisthenics. The fact is that it is a matter of professional pride for players on both sides to rise to this challenge, if only to benchmark themselves against the next best in their conference and be assured, neither team wants to get rolled over. As for the fans, there are kids in all camps, I dont get too bent out of shape over it. I respect the Wings as a team with deep talent and regardless of what what the Canucks have or haven't done in the past they too are deep so if some here dont feel this matchup means anything more than 2 points, I challenge them to prove it by not bothering to watch

Grapes blamed the hit on Lucic for taunting Rome, a player who doesn't make these kinds of hits and was too late on what could otherwise have been a completely legit hit. Loved all the finger biting taunts today, damned funny stuff even when Boston does it to Vancouver's players

Ya ummm.. way out there on the 'rape' comments and stuff about your kid but I'd remind folks that Burrows denies biting Bergeron and many suggest Bergeron tried to fish hook Burrows. I dont approve of allot of stuff that happens in the league today but if we are going to suggest that this finger cut warrants the same kind of suspension as concussing someone by hitting them in the numbers well.. I'd rather have the finger cut and make girly jokes about the player that did it. Fact is, finger cut is COMPLETELY forgotten by the end of game #2 if it wasn't for said finger cuttER being the star that won the game

I love the Burrows hate, just like I loved all the Bertuzzi hate when he played for Vancouver, makes these wins all that much sweeter. Don't be looking too forward to next season though, Canucks will still have most of their crew for the next few years so chances are good you'll witness your nightmare all over again as the Nucks make it two in a row

Never mind any of that Shoreline, the real trigger for all the Sharks frustrations began with getting punked on the Bieksa goal. When Higgins sat on the boards not stepping on the ice for his shift till he could take that pass to feed Bieksa on the breakaway, that little prank/strategy absolutely put a dent in their testicles for the rest of the game I know I really badly wanted a Wings/Canucks conference final, cause no matter what happened in the last series Detroit is better than San Jose but, a total ***** slapping of Sj is the next best thing, even if this series does go six games.

Steal a game.. lol. I'd say SJ only had a prayer thanks NOTHING to their talent but rather a blatant Lougongo brain fart, otherwise SJ never really had a chance as Vancouver outplayed them even in the 1st. SJ may be tired but I'll be very surprised if this series doesn't go to at least six games. In the grand scheme of this series, the difference is a Vancouver D that is six men deep because after that, both teams have scoring talent and both team's have scoreRs that could be plying better.
