The Wings have insane amounts of poise. They are never emotionally affected by being down. They bounce back immediately and are dangerous on every play. Sharks won by the thinnest of margins.
-
yes i do live in norkle. a town called petaluma... you never get used to the smell, no matter what people say.Norco and Petaluma are two different towns in separate halves of the state, wise one.
-
They implemented to shootout to cater to the ignorant common man ("ties are homosexual communist terrorism"). They would take a step backwards on that front by using an insanely complicated point system. We don't want the stupids and their money to run away.

Of all the sensational things RW has said, I've never seen him follow up on any of them. I think he's just getting people riled up.

That was one hell of a great game to see. That was the largest amount of Wings fans I have ever seen in HP Arena. When the Wings scored, you heard it. There were all kinds of Michigan Alumni and Michigan State Alumni groups there, so I think that added to the Wings presence. But I gotta say, it weas great hearing the stadium chant "Lets Go Red Wings!", and you could actually hear it clearly throught out the fans.Good Gam...Way to go Wing!!
God I love beating the sharks

It looks cleaner. I hated how the logo used two different fonts before.

The newest and least-supported team in Canada versus the newest and least-supported team in California...and low ratings?!?!?1 OMG!!!!112

I don't feel like staying if Ducks fans are going to be here...
-
I say we just move LA KingsThat's stupid.

Vintage Pronger: gooning it up and not being penalized. And everyone wouldn't stop fellating him over his newfound "maturity" last year. Yeah, right. It's the same old Pronger we've been booing for years. I hate this meathead.
-
Maybe it was Tie Domi who rubbed off on him...
-
Is this your first year watching hockey or has it only been that way here in California?
-
I should have stopped at "San Diego."
-
So having Kiprusoff makes the defense older and wiser? It makes Marleau care more? I'll keep that in mind.
-
If the Wings don't beat the damn Ducks, I'll have to hate them even more. I'm sure this is devastating news to everyone.
-
What kind of pandering is this? The Sharks aren't aggressive and obviously don't love to attack.
-
I'm sure you all saw it. After Cheechoo's goal, someone tossed a dead shark onto the ice in the shark tank.
What were your reactions? It seemed a little silly/ironic to toss a dead symbol of your team on the ice...dont ya' think? I guess they dont know the history behind the octopus.
The Red Wings have adopted the octopus as a mascot, and that's always been dead. The only difference is that it was after the fact. As for history, they could have thrown a stop sign on the ice. It's about as closely related, plus it's red. If the Pavilion starts serving shark sushi, then I'll take issue.

I stand by my statement about the Ignorance shown toward's soccer.
Who the hell are you?!?!? to call the Scottish league or any other European league a joke when you clearly don't know what the hell you are talking about. Just because you've " heard " of Chelsea does that mean you deserve a prize or something???? Instead of reading an article here or there that state's that the SPL or any other league is poor maybe you should actually watch a couple of game's and form your own opinion instead of using other people's.
Deserve a prize? Are you kidding me? I'm on the defense here. I was called out as having to look up matters concerning Chelsea which I allegedly didn't already know.
All I have to know about the SPL is that two teams always win it and those two teams would rather join the EPL than make the Scottish League more competitive. Of course, and a Celtic fan, you probably think it's all totally fair and it's just by mere coincidence that clubs not named Celtic or Rangers never win.
In that case, I take it back. Celtic and Rangers are the Yankees of soccer. Actually, they're worse. Have fun sitting on the edge of your seat, wondering which sides will finish first and second in your little league.

"Yankees of soccer" is quite an ignorant term to use descibing any team. If you actually followed the game and the history of the team's you'll realise that there is no use of this saying. Manchester United for example has not alway's been a successful team and has faught damn hard to be the Power in soccer that they are today.
I was merely running with the theme. I didn't first write "yankees of soccer."
care to explain?
people here assume, oh my god, the only soccer team i hear about from europe are the good ones, and therefore since theyre good they must resemble the yankees, who splurge money all over the place and have failed to show for it recently. You do realize that more money is invested in european soccer than baseball anyhow. the prices are going to be higher and the money transactions larger as well.
You want to know the yankees of soccer? there really wasnt one until Abramovich took over Chelsea and started spending insane amounts of money bringing in all players from around the world. Want proof? Look at how Arjen Robben is being used on the team. Easily a top notch striker but sits on the bench as a sub because of the stacked lineup that Chelsea has. Again I dont believe you even knew about Abramovich or who Robben were without Googling their names.
Who the hell are you? The only person who follows the EPL? How the hell would I not have heard of Chelsea, its players or its owner? Get off the high horse. Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are indeed analogous to the Yankees. They're the big four and will remain the big four. But hey, four is better than the three in Portugal and Holland or the two in that joke Scottish league.
-
Yankees of soccer? Are you serious...you have 0 knowledge of soccer if you claim man utd is the yankees of soccer lmao, thanks for the joke
So there are multiple "Yankees of soccer." Man U is definitely one of them.
-
Kaka dominates a poor ManUre back four and then Seedorf twists the knife. I think rain confuses United. This is great.
-
That would be AS Roma...

In Hasek's defense, I don't think he really saw the puck well on Clowe's goal. He went down to protect and still nearly had the width of the goal covered. On Cheechoo's goal, Hasek has to know that he's a shooter. I was actually surprised Cheechoo deked him. Going down early made some sense in the moment, but looked awful in hindsight.

I'm for your guys going east. Maybe it'll happen with the next expansion, haha...

Which goal was illegal and which was scored 5-on-3?
