Huge game imo. If we win we can rest our older players, insure we don't have to rush Zetterberg back, let Franzen's ankle heal, and not risk further injury to any of our other players. Hopefully we don't come out flat like the Canucks tonight or the Sharks last year when Franzen alone beat them.

I thought I remember reading an article before the playoffs that said, if fully healthy, Babcock would play Dats and Z together at home, and separate them on the road when the matchups are tougher.

Doubt he's keeping him fresh, pretty sure he's putting what he thinks is the best PK unit out there. And with the way Lids has played defensively today, he may be on to something. I thought the kill today was really strong. They didn't get a shot until 7 seconds left and that was a bad angle shot, pretty solid imo, just unlucky.

Man, I hope we spend some more time in the offensive zone in the final period, my heart can't take much more of this. We are doing a great job keeping them to the outside and clearing the front of the net for Howard.

Ya but its happening in all the series against a wide variety of teams. There probably is a mandate to continue to call the game with the same scrutiny even when a team is down a player. This differs from years ago when the second penalty took a lot more to get called. So in reality, its a mandate for more consistency, which should please many folks.

I wish I could read one GDT without hearing about referees. Teams think the game is rigged for us, we think its rigged against us. Phoenix ******* about the early penalties, we ***** about the late penalties. I mean, ya it can be frustratingly inconsistent at times, but if we were all neutral observers, I doubt we'd have trouble with every penalty that was called in game 2. The only one I have some trouble with is the Filppula interference call off the draw. And if they are trying to make games "close"...then why isn't it happening in every series. I've watched most of the playoff games, and it just isn't happening. Its always easy to make the "right" call after you've seen a slow motion replay 5 times. Why is it that the human population is sooo prone to believing in conspiracy theories? People make mistakes, sometimes egregious mistakes, trying to come up with outlandish theories to explain just seems like a lot work. Occam's razor etc.

Datsyuk played almost 22 minutes, just 30 seconds behind the team leader Rafalski. What an incredible game he played.

If we keep giving up 3+ goals a game, this isn't going to be pretty. But I'll say we flip the proverbial switch and win in 6.

Depends on goaltending, they aren't winning with Ellis. I guess if Emery is 100%, they have a shot.
