I live 3 hours south of Minneapolis and was planning on taking my sons to the game on 12/26. What are the chances????? -
Wow! Just Woww! I had about a million thoughts on these posts: Can there be any worse jersey- Yes! the Blues trumpets and then it was posted on the very first response! WTF is with the socks- never mind the Jersey. The socks are just a whole new low. I don't so much hate the Gorton Fisherman Jersey. WOW! Those other Fugly Jersey pics. I thought for sure the Blues was the worst ever- NOPE not even close. HAHAHAH a Tuxedo. An ASCOT?!?!?! WTF! ASSCOT! Did Kramer from Seinfield design that Jersey- fluffy pirate shirt. Don Cherry approves! Hee Hee funny! What the heck is the deal with that Quad City jersey- I don't get it at all! Did the Kings actually wear those Jerseys with the funny King Triton on the chest and Gretzky should have his number UNRETIRED for agreeing to be seen in public for wearing it. Where the heck was I and how have I never seen this before????? I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. The world must be coming to an end! I am now going to become a fan of roller derby! Urine colored ice!- Nice! Can you imagine the guys on the teams in some of these instances?? Did they almost mutiny when told- Hey team get your new Dbag Jersyes. I have a jersey my Mother-In-Law gave me with a squirrel on the front that says Fighting Squirrels and something about Dem Nutts on the back that I won't even wear- how can some of these guys be seen in public with this dreck?!?!?

I grew up in Michigan (Adrian) left to go to college near Chicago and stayedd there for 16 years. A little over a year ago I moved to God Forsaken Central Iowa for work. This past summer I went home to visit my family and have to tell you I ABSOLUTELY wish I still lived near my family. A week after visiting my family my Dad died. Now I am absolutely looking to either move back to Michigan near my family or to where my wife is from. So from a very personal perspective I can say that family does matter and his 24 million might not be all that important to him.

Thanks. Now you need to explain what Jersey Shore is. I get that it is probably some really stupid fake/reality show on no doubt MTV with a bunch of stupid greazzie eye-talians wearing wife beater shirts under hooded sweatshirts, baggy shorts and Adidas. Let me guess they talk about how cool they are for 30 minutes/ 1 hour and what girls they would like to give Cleveland Steamers to. Give or take a detail or two.

Looks like a ROOTS shirt with a Beaver on it to me. In honor of Leslie Nielsen: "Nice Beaver!" Thanks, I just had it stuffed. Nope- never mind after watching the vid- clearly a thunderstorm cloud. The old fart here wants to know what a GTL hat is? I really have no idea and after googling it found nothing of significance other than GTL trucker hat for sale on several sites.

I think they both have become acceptable over time. Notice though that even in the definition of raise it says "rear: children" and the definition of rear uses raise: cattle. My guess is that my private school teachers were stuck on keeping the Olde English way in place and that they made a bigger deal about this than perhaps they should have. After 34 years I'm probably stuck saying it for the next 34 years.

I would have to find my old English and composition books from high school and college; but both said that you raise cattle/livestock and rear children.

IRREGARDLESS!!!!!!! Irre&*%$'nGardless! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irregardless My pet English Grammar peave. 2nd in line: I was born and raised in..... No! You were born and reared in! My Canadian wife always says: "I like romantic movies more then hockey!" "Boys, you need to go up-stairs and close the lights!" "It's dark in here, please open the lights" and she doesn't say "with" when it should be said in a sentence. And what the heck is a ZED?!? And why do you spell color wrong?!?

The first three hockey games I ever went to were in Chicago. We bought cheap $10 tickets and then sat right on the ice because no one was there. Same thing at Pistons games, and baseball (anywhere). Now that I am several years away from college and have two kids that I take with me- trying to sneak closer just isn't as much of an option anymore. It does seem that most places look out for this more now than they did 15-20 years ago.

2009 SCF Game 2 - The Malkin/Zetterberg fight; Abbie bouncing puck goal game. Went on Ticketmaster about 2 hours after they were available. Had NO problem then. Bought 6 tickets for about $110 each. Sold three for $150 each. Corner up top SECTION 217B ROW 12. Next day a buddy of mine went on and bought two tickets down low for next home game and paid like $200 each and couldn't sell them for face value- lost like $150 and didn't go.

I have Directv as well (out of state) with a dealer card (I get over 800 channels- including center ice, sunday ticket, center court, extra innings, etc). When I watch Wings games the quality (in HD) is much lower than say Chicago HD. WHY???? It always looks like the games are 10+ years old and then I switch to Chicago and it is TRUE HD. I'm looking at ice scrapes on the ice, pot marks on players faces, etc and for Detroit it is "fuzzy". What number on DTV are you watching the games on- to make sure I have the right channel(s).

I don't know why but I jsut watched that entire stupid video with my eyes glued to the screen. I want that two minutes and 54 seconds of my life back.

YIKES! Could handle about 1 minute of that- it made me think of Robo Cop- this would have been the perfect song for the end credits.

FOUND IT!!!!! http://www.break.com/usercontent/2009/9/aliens-in-the-attic-2009-1296902.html See if YOU could find it without the time hint (iff you get tired of trying try around 7:30 forward. Hopefully somebody can capture a pic and post. Any idea which Wing it is? I'm guessing Yzerman or Zetterberg. After further review- my money is on Lids.

My 9 year old son was watching "Aliens in the Attic" yesterday and he says: "Look Dad the Redwings are in the movie!" What are you talking about son- sure enough way off in the background was a calendar with a Redwing player that was visible for about 1 second maybe twice in the movie.

Landon Ferraro Signs Entry Level Contract
Lord Stanely replied to detroitsportsman05's topic in General
I feel like a tool right now for not understanding something that is probably really basic: The Wings drafted him. Why are we just now signing him to a contract? Wouldn't he have been on a contract as somebody who was drafted? Did we lose him somewhere and are now getting him back? Is there a different type of contract for certain players and that is what was signed? I'm sure this is all very simple to understand but I just seem to be missing a large piece or 3 of the puzzle somewhere. -

Igor "the professor" Larionov (via Wiki) Larionov is married to former figure skater Elena Batanova and has three children, Alyonka, Diana and Igor II. Currently, he is a professional wine merchant making wines under the labels "Hattrick" and "Triple Overtime" with wines from Australia and California In July 2008, Larionov was named director of hockey operations for Russian hockey club SKA St. Petersburg Lucky Luc Robitaille Robitaille and his wife, Stacia, co-founded the non-profit charity Shelter for Serenity in 2005 to help families displaced by Hurricane Katrina, and has extended to needy children in the Los Angeles community as Echoes of Hope [1].[3][23] Robitaille made an appearance in "Fire in the Ice," a season four episode of the TV series Bones. In the episode, he appears as himself in an hallucination had by lead character Seeley Booth, when Booth is knocked out while playing in a recreational hockey game. Robitaille also appeared in the movie Sudden Death as the only real skater on the team. The directors used this to their advantage sending Robitaille in on a breakaway to tie the game as time expired.[24] In Canada, Robitaille appeared alongside New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur in a Delissio frozen pizza commercial, where the two watch footage of Luc's many goals against the legendary goalie while sharing a pizza.

I heard he was involved in a horrible accident at a military base while visiting the troops. A man in a machine gun started shooting at the crowd and Cheveldae jumped in front of the gun to take the bullets for the service men- turns out not one bullet hit him.

I love Osgood and have for many years- he is in my top 5 all time favorites (Yzerman, Shanahan, Osgood, Sawchuck, Howe) But I gotta say last night was the first time I have ever been PISSED watching him play. I have always been OK with him on previous screw ups- even able to laugh at them- but last night just tourqued me something royal for the first time ever. I hope I never feel like that again with him.
