Opinions are made to be questioned Opie and if your opinion is questioned then you need valid points to defend it and your points are completely invalid.

Wow, people on this board are getting worse and worse every day. I hate Tootoo as much as the next person but he was just taking tape off his fingers who cares if he skated 2 laps around the ice. He still went toe to toe and took his beating. To say he was backing down is ludicrous, he went after Staubitz once he got the tape off his fingers. He was hardly chicken s*** in that fight.

Also, the thing that pisses me off about games there is they try to turn it into a Michigan/OSU rivalry thing and play stupid Ohio State themed songs and all that crap all game. It gets pretty annoying. To them, Detroit fan= must be a Wolverine fan.

R Bar is where it's at. It's basically a bar for hockey fans. Really cool atmosphere and a great place to have some beers and watch the game/any game that may be on.

Stanley Cup, that's all I care about.

I think hfboards hates wings because of the euro players

whatever I'll take 4 cups in 11 seasons and have guys in the NHL with more fighting majors than the whole Wings team. I don't care if people wanna hate on the Wings, it's more fun to gloat when the boys bring home cups. Don Cherry needs to get over his whole canadian boy love affair, even a journalist on ESPN dogged on him. ESPN! and he even sounded good doing it! -
I think Franzen is definitely a 4 mil a year player. However, I think you are going to see teams try to get away from offering guys like Franzen more than they deserve (seeing as Franzen has missed games here and there over the past couple years) due to the economy and the fact the cap is going to go down a little (or so I've heard/read).

Would the Wings be better off had they Pursued Goalie Instead of Hossa
henrik40 replied to a topic in General
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=397463 "The feeling at the moment is that the NHL won't suffer greatly this season because more than 70 per cent of season ticket and sponsorship revenue has already been collected, and that the $56.7 million salary cap should stay close to the same for 2009-10, although it could drop the following season." Not sure when this 10 million dollar drop is actually occurring. -

Don't think the cap is going to go down 10 million, a ridiculous amount of teams would be in salary cap trouble. I've heard it's going down but only in the 1 to 3 million range. -
Per TSN: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=269338&...=headlines_main Anyone know of any videos where this can be seen? I wonder what he did.
-
While this is a possible scenario, in watching the video it's hard to see that being the case here. He is on top of Moen while Moen is on his side with his head facing away from Ott. If you watch his legs, he starts kicking (maybe in pain) when the ref is attempting to get Ott off of him. I'm going to guess this is when the "accidental" eye gouge occurred.
-
How do you "accidently" eye gouge someone?
-
If he was gouging his eyes, that makes more sense for an intent to injure match penalty. Regardless, I don't understand why he goes after someone like Niedermeyer then not expect someone to come after him. Don't think people are going to not come after you because of your broken hand. Remember when he was taking all the cheap shots and going low against Boston?
-
Beat me to posting the video. He was cross checking the s*** out of Niedermeyer (I think this is why he received the intent to injure match penalty) then Giggy went after him and Moen pounded him into submission. The announcers were making a big deal about how he couldn't fight because of his broken hand. What a moron go after someone when you have a broken hand. Keep in mind this was right at the end of the game I believe. Ott is a goon.

Hossa has really disappointed me, I expected at least 70 goals by now. So has Tim Cheveldae..... I mean Chris Osgood.
-
Sort of, maybe just a tiny tiny bit, different from a back to back in the regular season against the Kings and the Preds. It's whatever you can find a game this season for every team where they got their ass kicked. It happens, I'm over it.

For anyone that ordered from lightinthebox, how are the sizes? Are they comparable to what size jersey you normally wear? I know they say to get a size up from what you would normally wear but their sizing chart is almost identical to what is used on nhl.com.

He's already been shot once in Detroit, maybe someone will do it again except for this time he won't make it out of Detroit. Disclaimer: I do not promote gun violence unless it's towards Dan O'Halloran (just kidding, but not really)

Atdhe was never bad quality for me. Others have said it was just as good, if not better than the center ice online broadcast.
-
I just created an account on hockeystreams.com but it didn't ask me to sign up for anything that required a payment. Is it crappy quality unless you pay or did I just sign up for a trial period?
-
Don't worry the NBA is in bad shape right now and people don't even realize it. Check this out: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/090227

I've got a bad feeling that by the time the playoffs roll around, I'm going to be forced to pay for CI online. Damn cable not having versus on their standard lineup.
-
I did not know that I figured it was similar to justin.tv where one person streams from their own cable/satellite feed for the specific game you are watching.
-
ATDHE has a better stream than center ice online?? I mean atdhe has a much better stream than all of the free ones I've watched but I figured since you have to pay for CI online that it would be high quality.

However, you can still find all the major sporting leagues available for free on all the sites mentioned in this thread.
