I mean as much as I don't agree with it, they are playing within the rules. The NHL already has a system in place that punishes teams for bad contracts. If you punish teams for every single bad contract, you could argue every team would be left handicapped at some point. Not every team can avoid bad contracts.

That's why I buy from dhgate. $30-$40 for a jersey, might be a few imperfections but nothing I can't live with. I'd be okay with expansion if they expand to the right markets. They need to move struggling teams from crap markets that they keep trying to force down people's throats. People in the south couldn't care less if they lost their team. I think it's going to be tough for Ozzie to get in because of the media's view of him. I think it's a joke that they continually call him a product of the Wings system, which I'm sure is partly true. I really don't see this as anything but an empty threat. There is no way an arbitrator would rule that it's okay for the NHL to void contracts that have already been played under. If this happens, it could lead to biiiiig problems.

When you think about it, this shouldn't surprise anyone. Arenas and stadiums never come off to me as the cleanest and most responsible places. I already had my reason not to eat ridiculously overpriced stadium/arena food.

It seems like most people either way underestimate or way overestimate the effect the offseason will have on the Hawks. I think they will still make the playoffs and whoever said back to the cellar for the Hawks is vastly overestimating the effect. The Hawks fans who think they will be fine are crazy.
