If teams were so anxious to sign a goalie to a big contract, why wouldn't they have signed Nabakov (besides the fact he might have been asking for too much)? He is definitely more proven then Niemi, minus the whole winning the cup thing. Although he didn't exactly play stellar in the finals but did the job.

I haven't read any other articles on his death, so I could be overreacting, but am I wrong in being super pissed about this? RIP Probie

I don't follow the NBA much but I remember that dude. TSN is reporting 34 over 5 years, not 6. that makes it worse haha. You want to talk about a league not being in touch with reality? Darko got 20 mil over 4 years today. That'd be like giving Boogard 1.6 mil a year. Oh wait..

I have a suspicion that Kovy may end up in the KHL. I bet he's demanding fat cash, especially after some of the ridiculous deals that went down today. Boogy's contract makes Kovy worth 25 a year

People love to bring in new faces, big faces at that. Come May though, they'll appreciate the fact that Kenny didn't strap us with some stupid overpaid underachiever, which I assume will happen to many this year. Then it will be the same thing all over again next July.

Depending on what we give Modano, I might be okay with it. Play on the third line, give us some secondary scoring which we surely lacked last year.

I mean the Hawks are going to be a good team next year. The thing that made them so good this year was their depth. Next year their depth is going to hinge on AHLers/fringe NHLers/undeveloped prospects. Any injuries to key players could kill this team. I expect them to surely come back to the pack unless some of these young unproven guys really step up. It will be interesting.
