How is this an overpayment? Hudler will probably spend 5 years in the AHL, and Kopecky already has. The Wings need some hard working North American players for the future. It doesnt matter how long they have been in the A. If they look good now, thats what matters. They both have a point per game, and both have respectable size. Guys like Maltby, Holmstrom, and Draper wont be around forever. I would take this deal in a second. Our future line up would look something like this. That is a pretty solid and balanced forward corpse if you ask me. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Grigorenko Filppula-McGrath-Williams Wiseman-Giroux-Jamtin Abdelkader-Franzen-Bootland

glen murray AND the youngstr bergeron for that ? keep dreaming I will. Every night I dream that i come on this board and I see a "Hudler traded" thread!!
-
oh ya... why wasnt Boston there pal?? lol
-
Doubt it.. where did your friend hear this from? if he heard anything he didnt hear Holmstroms name, I can assure you of that. But since we're trading with Boston lets do this... Rob Lang Jiri Hudler Miroslav Blatak 2nd round in 06 Glen Murray Patrice Bergeron Hal Gill

I would have to agree with you there.
-
Sorry.. correction...Jersey is in Pitts division as well..
-
I have confirmed who 7 of the 10 reps were with…. Chicago, Florida, Philly, St.Louis, Tampa, Jersey, and Buffalo. At first I suspected that most of the scouts were there to evaluate the teams, but now I’m wondering why so many Eastern conference teams were there to watch an out of conference team, and a last place team in an outer division (excluding Philly). I am especially interested in Tampa’s presence. There is no one on Pittsburg I could see them being interested in. As speculated previously, they might be interested in Legace, but he, of course, wasn’t playing tonight. It could be possible, like theman said, they were scouting Hudler. It will be interesting to see if anything happens in the next little while.
-
No, he isn't...but that'll probably be the market for him. Think of it like this...with Filippula coming into his own (Babcock seems to favor him), Legace all but gone, and Meech more than likely never going to be a regular Red Wing, why not? Hudler alone could bring in better than Witt somewhere else. LOL.. Ya.. Maybe trade him for Phaneuf.. that is if Calgary throws in a second rounder in 2006

Looks like Val is really starting to turn it on. I havent seen him play in a while. Glad to see he is racking up some points.

I'm With You. I wouldnt want that criminal on my favorite team for anything.
-
No offense, but I wouldnt want to trade Hudler. How about: To Ducks: Mowers-RW Blatak-D 3rd round DP. To Wings: Salei-D Hedstrom-RW I must be missing something. Why does everyone have such high regards for Hudler? This team doesn’t need another guy up the middle. He has played the wing before but he’s not as effective there. With guys like Williams, Samuelson, and Franzen playing so well, and Grigorenko and Filppula coming up, I don’t see the need to make space for Hudler. Since he is racking up the points in the A right now, he has some pretty good trade value. We could address other needs (defense, speed, grit) by trading him.

Looks like someone else besides me has heard something.... http://v2.hockeybuzz.com/blogworld/blog.as...gger=1&post=778

Fair enough. I made this post more or less for those who wouldn’t get off my back about showing them some “secondary sources. I just wanted people to see that I didn’t pull this rumor out of my ass like many seem to think. Others are in fact talking about it, and I for one feel that I have better sources regarding this trade then Eklund does.
-
It's funny because when I mentioned the rumor before everyone criticized me for making it up. Everyone wanted "other sources" to verify it was a valid rumor. In self defense, I decided to post the link, why the hell not? What do you think rumors are? They might not make sense to you, and they may not become official, but lay off. I realize Eklund is not the most reliable source, but he has been right. Legace could very well be traded, if it hurts you all so much to hear that then pay no attention to me. If it was "verifiable" it wouldn’t be a rumor. Choose your words more carefully.
-
I agree. I figured he would go to a team that was desperate for a starting goalie.
-
http://v2.hockeybuzz.com/blogworld/blog.as...gger=1&post=778 Eklund is on it too. Now maybe people will get off me for suggesting a Legace trade.
-
This is interesting. Only thing is, I don’t see how the Flyers could manage this financially under the cap.
-
As I said, I was lost. Why? You are very unclear and have very poor sentence structure. The goalie in the trade rumor was Legace, therefore that’s who I thought you were referring to. Legace is on the IR, but so what? Doesn’t mean teams aren’t interested. As for Osgood, his GAA is 3.25. It’s not like he lets in 6 goals on a regular basis. Your use of sarcasm (if it was that) is unclear. Are you saying Kubina must chip in net because Osgood and Howard are so damn awful?? Have you been watching hockey?? Everything you said in your post was wrong. Your ignorance if almost laughable, hence the reason I was completely lost. With that said, you are probably the dumbest person I have ever come across on the internet.
-
I'm Lost.....Are you referring to Legace? If so, his GAA is 2.22 and he was the defensive player of the month in October. Injured or not, teams are interested in him. If you haven’t noticed Tampa doesn’t have very strong goaltending. Though Tampa would probably not trade Kubina, it is very possible for us to take his salary. By the way, Kubina is not a goalie.. he doesnt have a Save %.. and i can assure you, he would chip in for us.
-
Very interesting. I think as much as the Wings would like to have Kubina, Tampa wouldn’t let him go. I too have heard trade rumors involving the two teams. Tampa is interested in Legace, and the Wings are looking for a defenseman. A three way deal is possible, but I don’t think Tampa is willing to ship out a D man. For obvious reasons, the other rumor doesn’t make sense to me.

3 Way Deal Involving The Wings, Bolts, and Ducks

Thanks Barnes. I hate to knock a guy who is yet to skate for the redwings this year, but I have seen him play a bunch of times and I think he is the last thing this team needs right now. -

As far as I know, a possible deal is still in the works. I havent heard any further details. I guess it is moving slowly since Legace is currently on the IR. I hope something happens within the next week because this team needs a spark. -
3 Way Deal Involving The Wings, Bolts, and Ducks

lmao wow thats gotta be one of the worst rumors ive ever heard in my life we might as well give away our best goalie and a top prospect in hudler for a bag of hockey pucks then salei and the other guy Hmmm... For one, I said that we would likely get more (perhaps a draft pick). Two, Hudler is not our top prospect. Kronwall, Grigorenko, and Howard are all above him. Lets not forget Hudler is 5'8 160 lbs, lacks speed, and is generally lazy. He has 35 points in the AHL, but so what? Erik Westrum has 36 with weaker line mates. You must understand the AHL is not nearly as physically demanding as the big leagues. Hudler will not be nearly as effective as he is in the A. I wouldnt mind shipping this guy out. He has a lot of skill, but we have enough of those type players and its not getting us anywhere. I guarantee once people see Hudler, they will never stop bitching about him. Artyukhin has good size and is mean as a bull.. maybe redwings scouts see potential in this kid.. he does afterall stand 6'4, weighs 255lbs, and is only 22 years old. I havent seen him play, but their must be something the wings see in him. Legace our best goalie?? maybe, but he's not a great goalie, nor is he part of our future. Howard is here to stay and Osgood has no trade value. Therefore, Legace will likely be moved. I'm sorry if you cant stand to here that. I rather a young and developing power forward, a solid defenseman, Howard in net, another draft pick, and less minutes for Lilja than having a career back up goalie inbetween the pipes, and 5'8 Hudler trying to crack a line up already full of skilled scorers. But if you would prefer a bag of hockey pucks.....
