Relax... you cant win every trade. no GM can predict the future.. if they could, Datsyuk and Zetterberg wouldnt have been past over by every team in the nhl 6 times over.. its not like Matthias was expected to bloom the way he has...... get over it...

i believe he is refering to the defensive core Pronger, Schneider, Niedermayer, Beauchemin, Huskins, O'Donell who are on paper, "probably the best in the NHL" come playoff time stats mean nothing... Anaheim will be one of the toughest teams to score on..

Anyone who doesnt want Hossa is off their rocker... the guy has more tools than Zetterberg himself.. the lowest he has finnished in scoring is 14th in the league since 2002-2003.... I just cant see us being able to put together a package that would land him. Hudler and picks wont do it.. no one wants a 2nd rate player for a star.... i think it would honestly take Filppula+Kindl to even compete with whats going to be offered up for him.

i agree..i dont see any harm in being optimistic for a guy who gave so much to this team even if it is highly unlikely he will ever make it up with the big club again..

i also agree.. i laugh when people say that we shouldnt tinker with our current lineup just because we're winning at the moment..

With all the talent on this team do we need a top flight heavy to stick up for our guys? I love Aaron Downey and all, but could we use someone even tougher to answer the bell when need be??
