    Blackhawks' Brian Campbell: "Gutless"

I disagree, the puck was right there and I've seen Kronner do a heck of a lot worse with no call at all. That was a clean hit, Campbell can cram it. Cambell would've done the same thing if positions were reversed, so he needs to quit being a hypocrite. On the other hand though I don't like that Havlat is hurt, I don't like to see that generally and Marty's a decent guy and not someone I'd like to see out of the game. I hope he gets well soon, in my book he's one of the more exciting guys from Chicago to watch my team play against.

How Much Does Lidstrom Have Left

He's got plenty, but I think that playing two LONG post-season back to back like this is quickly emptying what's left in the tank for him. Don't be fooled, there's not any direct Nick Lidstrom replacements out there. Period. If I were a betting man, my dollar would be on he plays out his contract and retires gracefully. His #'s a lock for the rafters and he's a lock for the HoF (even with half the credentials he currently has). I don't see what more a player in his position could possibly want. Maybe another gold medal?

    Sammy is clutch

Sure is, he and Cleary too. Sammy's always been in possession of a respectable wrist shot, I think he's just got it dialed in right now. Instead of hitting opposing team logo's he's hitting top corners and 5 holes. If you think about it really, every championship squad we've had the difference-makers have so often came from players that have been ho-hum at best in the regular season.

WCF GAME 1 GDT: Blackhawks 2 at Red Wings 5

+1 lol @ Duncan Queef... That was a good game. I for one am appreciative to have an opponent that's not constantly dirty as can be gotten away with.

NBC is biased against the Wings

I honestly didn't really see it in this broadcast today. I think they actually covered the wings a bit more than the hawks, esp post-game.

    Quietly the Playoff King

It does seem as if 80% of what Lids does he does so efficiently it's hardly noticeable except the consistant results of him being out there. I've had to explain this to a few ppl that are casual fans of the game. The guy is to me the best example of a player with ice pumping through his veins. As for playoff king... we'll have to see when it's time to hand over the hardware. Generally they get the winner of certain trophies pretty darn close to right. But at this point, there's a few guys off 4 different teams that could be considered.

    Hand Shake Moment

I think I would've shed a tear or two if the wings lost that game. What of it? I did/do feel for Hiller a bit myself. I mean, isn't this pretty close to the way Giggy used to have to stand on his head 24/7 for them in the playoffs? The *ucks are going to ruin that young goalie, mark my words... I want to know what was said between Giggy and Oz.. the look on Oz's face when they skated on from eachother just makes me wonder.

Ducks GM Bob Murray accused of cross-checking fan

gotta be crappin me, this is just too good.....

    Chris Osgood..wow!

The dude is clutch, nobody can bash that. Or wait.. Yes I think he did outplay Hiller last night, that was a monster performance. Loved that save he made in the first, I had to rewind my DVR and watch that one again. And then watch the whole thing again in the morning lol...

    Thanks Ken & Mickey

Ken and Mickey are the freakin best! I am going to miss them. You know what I don't think I've heard Mick complain about composite sticks in a while.....

Ducks fans crying about Game Winning goal.

boo-friggity-hoo. I was a perfectly legal play and was reviewed and stood. If they have anything to gripe about it should be that they didn't take advantage of the huge PP's they had in the first.

    What Game 7 Means....

I get just about everything being said. I'd rather my team lost to anybody but the *ucks, but there's nothing we can do about it other than wait and hope. I'd like them to win this game and continue winning because the team consists of a group of winners and nobody likes to see winners lose.

    Proud Of Pavel Datsyuk

Well I for one can't blame him for leaving the gloves on, Niedermayer still had a visor on and that can mess a guy's hands up if you hit it. I applaud Pavel and the rest of the guys for sticking up for themselves, beat or not.

    awkwardness in the handshake line

I'd do it. I wouldn't care what ppl thought of it. I doubt any player that does it cares what anyone thinks about it.

    2250 POST FOR A GAME 6 WIN

Lets Go Red Wings!!! This guy will be back tuesday night barring any more bad luck. At this point bad luck's the only thing stopping him, nothing (nobody) else is. http://dildeepsingh.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/datsyuk.jpg think it might be a bit big to post..?

The best wins in anything by anyone are the ones that come when ppl said it couldn't be done.

I agree, they should add it to the list of reasons they should win this one.

The "unbeatable" Bruins down 4-1 in game 4

I really though the B's would hand Carolina their arse in this one, so I'm deciding on what to stuff my crow with on this one. It is really surprising, I mean San Jose has a history of early exits and Anahiem is a tough opponent, no one was terribly shocked when they went bye-bye. Boston.. wow yaknow. I wonder if they had a false sense of security after dispatching a piss-poor banged up Montreal?

    ATTA BOY KOPECKY

I also liked it for - he dropped the gloves and squared off. How often do we get to see that, period? - bye-bye to one of their top D for 5 mins. Bad timing? I think not with 6 mins and change to go in the game. That and it just gives Pronger/Niedermayer that much more time on the ice that they don't really need. Thanks Kopy!

WCSF GAME 3 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Ducks 2

Not to change the course of discussion too much here but I think it's time Bab's tweaks his game plan a little. You can't just keep doing the same thing and expect different results- it's all been very close so I do not believe a major change is needed but something has to happen at this point. Game 4's a must-win at this point and I don't think that's very arguable.

NHL responds to waved-off goal in Game 3

Weak call and of course the league isn't going to own up to it. There's been oodles of weak calls (or non-calls) in this series against either team, and it's gotten officially old. The Zebras need to start getting it right. edit- Oh yeah, the interference (and both ways at this point) has officially gotten out of hand as well. This is like watching 2004 hockey all over again.

    Scary, Scary Stat.....

Well I think it's obvious our team's top guys haven't done much of anything so far.. but hey who honestly thinks they can be totally shut down by anyone for the entirety of a series? I really doubt it. The way I look at it is this- we're 1 and 1 with a pretty good club minus 2 top 6 defensemen, a top faceoff man and our scoring hasn't even totally kicked in yet. I'd be a fool to not be worried but if any of said lackings in our team's game pick it up it's going to be a whole new situation. Rafalski and Lilja aren't back, neither is Draper, but, Datsyuk and Hossa are one good shift away from turning the tables on Anaheim.
