WOOOOHOOOO That's all I got.
-
That's cause they didn't.
-
Cowan would eat Hasek up like a fat kid on pizza.
-
Let me get this straight.... You're blaming the refs for the Wings having too many on the ice?
-
Reminds us other fans of Hasek.
-
WOOOHOOOOOOO
-
Ummm, it was accidental on both players part. But to be honest, the Detroit player did try to milk it for a penalty.
-
Don't make me get out the crying towel for you.
-
Kelly Rudy put it best during the intermission when he said that Tootoo usually doesn't even know there's a puck on the ice.
-
I have a revolutionary suggestion. No one here blames the refs no matter which team wins. Come on -- be a pioneer.
-
You guys must've been watching HNIC with Howie Meeker as the intermission guest.

Well, to the Canucks it's not 1-1-1, it's 2-1. And I actually meant since Christmas -- sorry, I should have been clearer because that's when the Canucks starting hitting their stride. Since December 26, the Canucks have won 25, the Wings 24. Either way, it is so close that it's basically a write-off. As for the game on Saturday, I just want to see another blast of air knock over Hasek and send him flopping.

About the game tomorrow -- I was reading the weekend predictions thread here and was a little surprised at how lightly you guys appear to be taking the Canucks. The predictions have to be running at about a 20:1 ratio favouring the Wings. Surprising because I'm pretty sure that the Canucks have a slight edge over the Wings in head-to-head regular season play over the past few years, and a 2-1 advantage in the season series this year, and all 3 of the games we've played against Detroit were before the Canucks really turned up their game at Christmas. Also, I think the Canucks have a better record than the Wings since Christmas, and this is a home game for the Canucks. I'm not positive yet what the official odds are because I haven't yet seen them posted on TheScore, but I bet it favours the Canucks. Point being, generally speaking, Wings fans sometimes think with their hearts which I guess doesn't make them that much different from other fans in this regard.

You Wings fans have to be the best in the NHL. If that rap was posted on a Calgary or Minny board, (or Oilers) everyone would say it sucks. I did see the little girl video posted on the official Flames board and some of the comments weren't very nice. One moron said it made him want to puke. You guys have collective class. Let's hope for a good game on Saturday. Good luck guys.

But what a great idea. Seriously.
-
Actually, no. Vancouver has a streak of sellouts and full seats that goes back many years now. I'm pretty sure Calgary and Toronto are the same. Probably Edmonton too, even at this stage of their season. And I think Cherry's point was that in "Hockeytown, USA", he's disappointed that there isn't more interest in the game.

Screw politcal correctness. I'm still not convinced that Moore hasn't been able to play, and been able to play for a long time.

That's something I hadn't considered. With the battles between Bert and Chelios in the past, Bertuzzi could see this as an opportunity to impress a fellow competitor who is now a friend and a team-mate. Any little bit of motivation helps with Bertuzzi.
-
I hope he does well for you and proves a lot of people who I have argued with wrong. I just hope he doesn't play too well against us. But I have to admit, I'm interested to see Matt Cooke take a run at him. And Bert would take it all in stride. He'd smile as he's getting up off his ass.
-
I felt it was time for a change all around. Both Bert and Crow. Bertuzzi carried too much baggage in a Canucks jersey and I felt it was affecting the dressing room. Last year kind of proved that. Maybe Vigneault could've made Bertuzzi a presence again, but I'm just as glad for the change, and let's face it, we got Luongo so there's no one unhappy with the way the trade worked out. I will always miss Bert's style of play, his battles with Chelios and Willie Mitchell and others, and I have a lot of great memories of watching him play. No hard feelings on my part, and from what I see, most Canucker's feel the same. I'm sure there'll be some boos in GM Place when he returns though, more-so if he's playing well like we wanted him to. That would be a bit of kick in the nuts.
-
And that was my original point. I think he would be happy to leave that up to others. He may do some pushing and shoving, but he's just not going to concern himself with making that a big part of his game.
-
You guys want Bert to be what he was for us prior to the Moore incident; a hard-hitting and high-scoring power forward who had opposing players listening for footsteps. If he brings that to Detroit like he did to Vancouver, you will all be very happy.
-
He gets it. Although Bertuzzi can definitely hold his own in a fight, he doesn't fight much at all.
-
You are missing the obvious. Bertuzzi is a skill player with the ability to put the puck in the net on a very regular basis. He's also a physical presence on the ice in the way he hits. If management picked him up just as an enforcer, then your management is dumb as a bag of rocks. There are better enforcers available at way less money.
