Lol absolutely not. There isn't even a way you can edit a post without "post edited" showing is there? Oh s*** nevermind. Didn't realize I HAD edited it. You may even be right. I suck.

Manny's taking contact now. Would be huge (if the Canucks get past the Sharks) if Manny can make it into the finals.
-
Rumour is that he hurt his shoulder when Torres hit him. There's also been some speculation that he could have cracked a couple ribs.

Guess you guys above me didn't read my last post huh.

You better have a good burst valve installed in your head if the Canucks win the cup. And get some WD-40 on that sonofabitch -- now. That's kind of why I've avoided weighing in o this until now. Detroit was beaten by a team that is now getting beaten. Having said that though and at this point in time, I'm glad we got the Sharks and not the Wings. Read into that what you will. Hank, I'm old enough to remember both Blue jays World Series wins in 1992 and 1993. There is a direct parallel here to what you guys are saying about Canada and the Canucks, and America and the Atlanta Braves in 1992 and the Phillies in 1993. I'd say far more Americans per capita wanted the American teams to win -- possibly even over 90 percent. Some of the people here complain about CBC bias? Go back and have a listen to the World Series on American television from those two years. Hell, the Blue Jays and Canada got so little respect south of the border that on one occasion our flag was flown upside down for the national anthem. Of course there was the added factor that the World Series had never been won by a team outside the U.S. before, but that really doesn't change anything in my mind. My point is -- that I remember a helluva lot of Americans were pulling for the American teams regardless of their normal allegiances. Harold said it's an inferiority complex. If so then it cuts across both sides of the border. For me, it's better defined as nationalism. But I digress -- regarding Canadians, I'd say this really isn't the case for the most part in cities with NHL teams and their diehard fans. No way they want us to win. On the other hand, fans in areas of Canada that do not have NHL teams are more likely to get on-board with the Canucks. Also, even if you do live in an NHL market but you're a casual fan you might get onboard with the Canucks. For instance -- Gordon Lightfoot was interviewed on the George Strombouloupoulouplouplos show last week and said, "I'm a Leafs fan but I will root for the last Canadian team standing no matter who it is." That's the attitude of some, but of far fewer in NHL markets. And I have no problem with either side.

I've come to realize that your opinion about Kesler should be thrown out the same way they throw out the high and low scores in Olympic skating. You're the Russian judge.
-
Fair enough. It's a bit of a non-starter for me. The game was over, we won and Kesler got back up. The only possible thing I think you may be referring is to Bieksa tuning up Stalberg. I thought that's where you were going. In that case, Stalberg was running all over the ice taking shots at our players late in a 7-1 game. Right before Bieksa tuned him up he hit Bieksa in the head. Bieksa did the right thing and taught the punk a lesson.
-
I can understand the comment though Doc. Kesler does embellish. In this case though, I'm not so sure. But I've never seen a guy who takes more sticks to the face than him. His face attracts lumber. Speculation is that Thornton has a shoulder injury or maybe some ribs. What did they do.
-
Why would Kesler dive when the game's over and there's no potential gain? He lost a couple bottom teeth and had 13 stitches last series. Probably hurt like hell. edit: Oops. Didn't see RedLightGoesOn's comment above.

It sure does seem like that's the way the Sharks handle a loss isn't it. Goon it up. Now they'll probably call the Canucks classless in the post-game interviews. Henrik leads the playoffs in points now. He will never show up in the playoffs. Salo with a huge game. Torres was a human wrecking ball. Put Thornton out of the game. Replacements Ballard and Tanev played great. Ballard's cart-wheel hit was awesome. Tanev is 21 years old. He also played beyond his years earlier in the season when three quarters of our defensive core was out. Great future ahead of him.
-
But the guy who played the puck was the guy who came off the bench. The other guy wasn't off yet. They call that every time. And Daniel passed the puck to him. Very smart play.
-
Oh dear.
-
Another 5 on 3. Oh my.
-
Bwahahahaha! Salo with the rocket.
-
I wonder if Daniel fired the puck towards the Sharks bench and their player on purpose.
-
After killing all those penalties that tastes sooooo sweet.
-
I'm pretty much speechless. Thinking crazy thoughts. Are the refs bought off?
-
What a ******* farce.
-
Wings fans would love him on their team. Ask Todd Bertuzzi.
-
I agree with Shoreline and Doc basically. Canucks took too many penalties in the first and had to fight back the whole game. Most of them were deserved. Plus if you can't score on those 5 on 3's you're probably not gonna make it. PK and PP let the Canucks down last night. Puckbags, you can't be serious about Rome.
-
We have them right where want them.
-
You could be right but I disagree with your theory. People take drugs and alcohol all the time to kill pain - often emotional pain. With an addict, there can be a fine line between taking enough to relieve the pain and overdosing. They walk the edge all the time. They do not want to die, but they engage in high risk behaviour because they currently have no other way to feel better.

A Vancouver paper ran this photo with a caption contest. Winners are below. Fourth Place: "It ain't over til the stupid guy scores." Third Place: "Does my ass look big in these pants?" Second Place: "Dude, I'm telling you. Pierced nipples!" First Place: "Excuse me, Lou, but I seem to have dropped my dignity. Have you seen it?"
