surprised? i agree with the "if we play like we did in games 3/4 then f*** NO" response. we need the sense of urgency that we had in the third period last night ALL GAME LONG. not just when we're already screwed being down multiple goals with 20 to play. BUT, if we put in a good honest effort and even play at 80% of the way were capable of, then yes i would be SHOCKED. but that won't happen. ozzie and zetts step up BIG in game 5 and we rout em 5-1.

Zetterberg: 2 goals 1 helper +3. take into consideration as well that pitt DOMINATED ott like they were a peewee team and we are struggling with nash. of course the players of a team that sweeps another is going to have decent stats. yes, hossa has the edge thus far, but its not as though zetts has been useless.

i agree. hartigan is a penalty train to the sin bin. but abs lack of experience will keep from seeing ice time this year me thinks...

holland has only put together the best team in hockey for the 12th thats right 12th highest team salary in the sport. its not under his control if the players don't play to their ability. you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. if the boys don't thirst for lord stanley (pun intended) then it starts with the players and moves on to babs. i don't see how it can be placed on him until we start missing the post season...

keys to tonights game. 1) hasek misses easy low shot from the point that ties the game. 2) hasek misses slapshot from the left circle. (this one to a lesser extent due to lilja being useless on D) i'm sorry but he's got to stop those. first two goals IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM HIS FAULT. i'll give him that. BUT you have to stop those in the playoffs. end of story. oh well. if babs is as good a motivator as i think he is, we should be goddamn fired up for game 4 and back in detroit to take it at the joe.

turned the game on late in the first and loved every minute until the last seconds. great game by cujo/the flames. why do i want SJ bounced now? for the same reason i want the ducks bounced now. they are both far more dangerous than CAL/DAL as they get deeper in the playoffs. if either comes out with a series win, they WILL (notice not might) WILL regroup and play twice as well as they have been in the first round. they each have too much talent to not fix whats broken in given multiple chances. get them the hell out now and the wings will dismiss whoever in round 2. granted i only saw the highlights from nhl.com BUT the only "luck" i saw was the dump in turned goal by the preds. and even if every single goal by the wings was lucky does that mean they are less deserving of a 2-0 series lead (and not to mention nothing lucky happened in game 1 and det won that too). just more bulletin board material for the wings to "prove" they aren't only lucky i guess... whatever. its 2-0, let them *****. they would be saying ver batum what mike did had they won tonights game...
