nine game win streak and we need sundin to stand a chance of getting anywhere. i still dont see whats wrong with letting the ZDH line destroy everyone and letting the other lines score on the PP. then at even strength all the other 3 lines need to do is keep the puck out of their own net. game over. if it aint broke don't fix it. im not ready to pull the trigger on dismantling team chemistry to land a big name. free agents if we have cap room, go for it. but dont give up prospects or even solid 2nd/3rd liners for one guy...

i am the only one that feels its A OK to get mood swings when sports teams are the topic? is it not ok for us to be concerned when they lose 3 road games in a row and have no worries when they break off seven straight? i think its just fine. right now we ride high. tomorrow may be a different story. same thing with the chargers here in SD. they lost 3 straight and looked like s***. now they win three in a row and we look like last years team. its the way it is. i just dont think it needs to be announced every time we switch gears. its life. as long as we keep coming back win or lose, who cares right? is it just me or does it seem a little odd that hockey (of the four major sports) is looking to get its own network. i mean there isn't a football/baseball/basketball channel. there are some stations that key in on one sport more than others but nothing like the GOLF channel that is golf 24/7. however, this could just be in my area that the golf channel is the only one i get. i dunno. of course i would LOVE there to be a hockey channel but i have a feeling not too many places would pick it up and no one would really be able to watch it anyways... jyst my $0.02

just thought i'd brag cus i forgot to mention it, i saw Kristen Bell star of veronica mars at the game last night in LA. she is an Avid wings fan (she's from huntington woods, MI) and looked HOT in a bright red coat. HEY ducks! WE GOT VERONICA MARS *******!!! you don't stand a chance...

i REALLY like the Rex-Flip-Pecky line. i was at the game last night, and while 13-40-96 stole the show (they were just retarded good), the kids line i'll call it, was great. forechecking. cycling down low. backchecking. they did it all. rex was a little floaty at times (in the wings zone he looked as though he MUST stick to his zone and didn't attempt to steal very often), he still looked damn good. i hope they keep that line. 18-33-11 looked good too. pretty much the entire team played solid (minus lilja, who has dropped a few notches since he was superhuman in the playoffs [for lilja anyway]). its just that 13-40-96 made everyone else look like amateurs. i smell a close game but still a wings victory. the ducks look lost the last few games. when they pull around they will be tough but they don't quite have it yet... 4-2 (with an ENG). 3 goals by zetts dats homer line AGAIN.

what a bunch of A holes in LA. i mean yes the kid is young. BUT no one expects him to beat teams 4-1 like he did anaheim in the opening game. give him the experience. he IS PLAYING FOR LA. i was at the game last night and he held his own. with a defense like LA's, what the hell do you expect? zetts/dats/homer skated circles around the entire team... they should be sending brad stuart down too (i heard more fans heckle him than osgood last night!). just my two cents.

ok with havlat out, who else is gonna score goals for the hawks? if bobert doesn't they lose. more often than not. put a mediocre/good player on a team of superstars and he's gonna look like s*** (case in point, his stint with the wings). put him on gordon bombays ducks and he looks like gretzky on the 84 oilers (case in point bobby on the hawks). he's going to get fed the puck like its going out of style and is going to have more opportunities than he ever did here. its just the way things go. HELLLL no i dont want him back. look for the wings to win the season series 5-3. no kidding. i think they will win 5 of the next six against chi town after dropping those two early...

should have been more like 40 IMO. after what he did to long (i watched the vid), this guy needs to be kicked out of the league. not that i disagree with the ruling. actually i agree completely. BUT i also dont take from it, that this is the new precedent being set. the only thing it says to me is: "as long as the hit/violation is perpetrated by a no-body we'll hand down a large punishment. However, if the crime is committed by an NHL star/rising star, we'll let it slide." thats the only thing that pisses me off. mclennan got 5 games. granted the season was over but thats a joke. it should have been 15. and if it was done by kipper he might have gotten 2-3. such was the case with pronger... its def a step in the right direction but we aren't quite there yet.

if cheli scores even 5 goals a round of virtual beers is on me! he only had one last year so 20 points for him and i'd be stoked (had 11 last season but 8 in the playoffs so 20 is a reasonable goal).

ps3 is sweet and all but i couldn't justify the extra money over the xbox 360. got one used on cragslist for 400 with 7 games and 2 controllers. unbeatable price. and NHL 08 looks more or less the same to me... although the blu-ray is AMAZING. ill give it that for sure.

most of them look like practice jerseys to me. like they took a white jersey and ironed on the chest logo and lettering. they need more color variation throughout. dallas' away is a good example. its totally white. boooo.

who would agree with me that there is a greater than 50% chance that the new STYLES stay for seasons to come but the TIGHT fitting BS gets nixed going into 08-09. cus it wouldn't surprise me. they look rediculous and just plain restrictive.

i'm pretty sure this guys knows thats outrageous for a stick. but when your sons eyes light up (i dont have kids yet i'm 20, just speaking from when my dad got me stuff...) its worth every penny. and if it makes him think he plays better and he's willing to sacrifice cost on say a cheaper helmet or something, why not. saw i lang O stick when i was at HA a few months back for 160. keep looking or wait a few months and it'll come down.
