you sir, are a ****** canoe. the guy just won his 5th game in a row making him 5 and 0 in the playoffs. lick one. now. the wings played like crap for the first 15 min of the third and nearly stellar the rest of the game. and i'm A-ok with that. even the pens let the rangers crawl back to 3-3 tonight only to squash their hopes in the third. it happens. we are up 3-0 to a team most people picked to win in six. and will win in 5 games at most.

somehow i still doubt that foreskin will start tonight. i think the avs want us to be on our toes and center our gameplan around him, but i still think he'll dress in the pre game skate and sit. just a hunch though. and smyth out is a huge blow to the avs. not that their powerplay hasn't been more than anemic as it is, but this hinders them even more so. heres hoping foreskin sits and jose "threeorfour" (love that ontario wings fan!) lets in enough to get the hook. have at it wings!

i used to take hats to games that were give aways from previous outings, just in case the same guy lit the lamp 3 times. only happened once, but i was stoked i had that s*** hat when it did.

i like the mental image of that last one hitting the ice. and i'd love to see AL swinging the hell out of that thing. the crowd would still go insane.

dallas and Pittsburgh are the only two teams left in the playoffs that scare the s*** out of me as far as teams that can beat the wings go. they both play extremely strong offensive games and have been really solid on D as well as of late. their goalies are no slouches either. that being said, turco COULD single handedly throw that series one way or the other. i think the wings/stars are pretty damn even. BUT turco has been s***, for lack of a better term, against the wings. this is not to say the past has ANYTHING to do with the present but it does mean that all those losses will be in the back of his mind. i'd love to see a dallas/detroit series though! game on. personally i'm a strict new era 59/50 wearer. found the sweetest wings hat ever at HTA in troy. winged wheel on the front nhl logo on the back, new era flag on the side. all red with white logos stitched on. set me back 29 bucks but i dont think i could live without it. plus i've never seen a single soul wearing it besides me. HTA is where its at.

BTW 5 goals in 2 games. unconscious play by him. and the entire team for that matter. we fixed all the mistakes we made in game 1 and played out of our minds. keep up the good work. if this should go in the FRANZEN thread that was started today, by all means mods, do your thang. i'd rather the wings blow out every team every time they play and completely dominate the sport. look at tiger woods. he's made golf more popular than ever and the only stories that make headlines are when he DOESN'T WIN!!! not exciting enough. pshhhh. give me a break. todays was one of the most entertaining games i've seen in a while, and i rarely miss a wings tilt. and a-men to whoever pointed out that people ***** when we give up a lead but still win. you can't have your cake and eat it too. next time the wings give up a two goal lead, be honest and say "now this is great hockey. i love close games!" on these boards and see if you make it out alive.
