Both of those games couldn've went either way. Alot of you are acting like they're just laying down and dying. Is that what you do in your life when times get tough. But then someone will bring up the Nashville series but you wont want to hear it. You can tell the pre-97 fans from the post-97 fans very easily around here. I get what your saying and I respect your opinion. Do I think he's overpaid? For sure. He does bug me sometimes with his play or "lack of effort". But I refuse to jump all over the guy and rip him apart as many do as witnessed by the numerous "lang is lazy and he sucks" threads. Hell, if anything I'm pulling more for the guy than anyone else on the team. Fact is the Wings need this guy to step up if they want to win, same as Lilja. Lilja has done it, so I see no reason why Lang can't. I just can't be that guy that rips and rips on someone then jumps out of my seat when they score the game winning (or big) goal for my team. Sammy needs to pick it up as well, but he's got heart and he's streaky, hopefully he gets on a hot streak starting tonight. That goal was on a s***ty call. Besides, a future hall of famer didn't look too sweet either.

I'm not saying your lying, I just have a hard time believeing that these guys are that mentally weak as to where boo's do anything but pump them up. Yeah, I hear you, I'll be the first to admit I don't care for a some of the Wings fan base. Alot are extremly fickle and greedy to a certain extent. It goes both ways, some are those that predict a sweep before the series starts, and some are such dooms dayers that they see the Wings being easily bounced before even giving them a chance to play the games. I've said all along I've had faith, and I don't want them to have an easy road to the cup, IMO it makes it more worth while when you face adversity, the best teams, and still prevail in the end. I just wish the Wings had a nationwide telecast team and station in there corner pulling for them. NBC's got there head so far up Crosby's ass they wouldn't notice another teams sweep or a game 7 win.

Booing affects no player negitively, if anything it just comes back to bite the fans in the ass. (see: cheli in '02 vs. Van) The series is far from over. Not from you individualy, but I've sensed some cockiness from Flames fans and CBC alike, guess we'll just have to wait to see if it's warrented. As far as Bert goes, if Babcocks going to play him, then play him. Top six mins., none of this fourth line crap.

Reading some posts you'd thing the Wings are down in the series, Lids is the new Rory, and Hasek should be sat out for game 4. Give it a break, Langs been getting the Lilja treatment for a while now. Everyone bashed and bashed Lilja, I'll tell you what, he played about his best game of the entire year in game 3 and was one of the best Dmen out there. It came out of nowhere, and when Lang picks it up, most of ya'll will be jocking him again. I'm pleasntly surprised no one has really turned on Z yet. When Lang scores or nets a game winner, ya'll will gladly eat your crow, don't you ever get sick of that?

Some good points made and I agree with most, but I don't see anything wrong with feeling good about the game. Hell everywhere I turned it was all negative. I willing to bet they played better than not only the ney-sayers thought, but the actual fans alike. If they play like that for the whole series, they'll win and I don't think that's really a bold prediction. One thing that does worry me is Bert. He didn't look all that great to me in the games he'd played for the Wings, and I wouldn't take anyone out of the line. I'm hoping making room for him doesn't come back to bite the Wings.

Hardly surprising. Exactly and it's been like that forever. Besides you now, the only other poster besides myself who's even noticed (that I've seen) or is willing to give the guy some credit when due is Arice. The guy has been solid the entire second half pretty much. The fact is as silly as it may sound to some, the Wings need Lilja if there going to beat the Flames. I think he'll be up to the task. BTW, I'm liking all the cockyness coming from the Flames and the media alike, the Wings are a top seed underdog. As far as the lines, well without Bert this is how I'd start off at least.....
