Donnie.......WE GET IT.
-
Wow, I got as far as the pics of Drapes and Stevie and it's safe to say that, that thread was one of the stupidest things I've ever read in my life. Stuff like that doesn't even deserve a response. But from what I read from cprice12, he seems to have like an alter ego or something. He speaks as though he's a 4 year old on his own site (can't believe he's an administrator) yet seems to be able to shake the jibber jabber on here and while still posting slightly absurd comments, not wallowing in the slop that was his posts in that thread. Somehow, I couldn't see Matt calling a visitor to the site a "******". Eh, I guess all me and my fellow "flying tire" (lame) fans can do is get ready to sit back and watch some playoff hockey with one of the most dominate lines in the game leading the way. While Blues fans...well there's always the draft.
-
There's just something creepy about Justin Timberlake and hockey players being used in the same sentance.
-
So I guess the only way to be tough and not a coward is fight some of the biggest and best (probie) enforcers in the game? Fighting isn't the only way to prove your a tough hockey player and not a coward. I'd love to see some of the mouths around here go into the corner for the puck, knowing full well there about to get blasted by someone like Torres.

Naslund was the guy who went low. Moore was in a "text book" hitting position. For the record, I have no problem with a player wanting to cause some pain to another when there star player gets severly hit, clean or not, but that's with a good hit or a good fight.
-
Actually Moore already did fight after that. Moore never left his feet or rasied his elbow. That being said, he knew something would happen after and it did. A legit fight. Did I like the fact that Bert went after him for the hit? Hell yeah. Do I like what happened after a few tugs on his jersey, no. Was it a cheapshot sucker punch followed by forceing his face into the ice with a forearm? Yeah, one of the worst I've seen. Was Moores hit on Naslund even half as bad or cheap as Turtles on Drapes? Not even close, I've seen knee to knees that are worse than that. Claude was a puss, who pulled those types of stunts, then talked s*** after when approached by media. The biggest difference, Claude knew it was coming, Moore already had his fight. Do I think Bert intended to hurt Moore? yeah. End his career and break his neck? no. After listening to past interviews and recent radio conversations with Bert, am I willing to forgive, move on, and start with a clean slate? Hell yeah. I kinda like the fact Cheli won't be the only leauge wide player on the team to be booed. Something they can probably share a laugh in the locker room about. Q and A with myself has ended.

Wow, I can finally get on the site. Anyway, Bert isn't who I would've liked to see on the Wings between all of the rumored players. Keith is the guy I wanted to see here, but after seeing the prices paid for everyone, this deal really made the most sense. It's a bargin no matter how he plays. But in listening to his phone interview with TSN's trade center shortly after the trade, I have to admit I gained a tad bit of respect for him. Just by the tone in his voice and the fact he was asked about a future in Fla., in which he said there was never any discussion of an extension. He was thankful that the Wings have faith in him and were willing to give him a chance. Also he's been saying all the right things on radio interveiws and such. I'll admit I've never like him, called him a bum and so on. The "Moore" thing, while was a show of pure goonery in which he intended to blind side him, and drive his face into the ice, I think it's silly to think he intended to break his neck. Absoultly dirty, and a reason for me (a hater of booers) to say boo the guy at every rink, he didn't mean to end a career. I also admit that him coming to the Wings is a big factor in my slight change of heart, so what? I'd rather have him than forsberg. The difference is forsberg pulls cheap crap but he's a puss. I figure who am I to not forgive someone? I don't see why he doesn't pay the guy some money, but whatever. As far as all that, if I happend to do that to someone in a game, I'd hope I'd eventually be forgiven. He said on the radio, he can't wait for his first game at joe louis, and he hopes the crowd is willing to accept and cheer for him instead of boo him now. Me as a huge opponent of bringing him in is. Clean slate, go for the cup...

Great news.

I would've really liked to see Keith here in Detroit, I think he would've fit all the teams needs quite nicely. But, the price was too high, so I'm glad he was passed on. I hope they pass on Bert also, for multiple reasons, he's a shell of his former self, hasn't played all year, would have to be on Z and Dats line, cause him and Lang are just too damn slow, and many more. I'm not crazy about the Blake rumors either, really doesn't fit anything Kenny said the team was looking for. To me, it's not enought to just simply be an improvement over Williams.

1270 Sports: Babcock says "players will be dealt"
bringback91 replied to The Enforcer's topic in General
I didn't get it either. I'm taking it as he's just saying that the rumored players around the leauge will be moved, with the Wings in the mix or not. Although, I wish it were Holland making these statements instead of the coach... -
This is from your original post, that I didn't really want to even give crediblity with a response. Until you started to try to make fun of other fellow posters................. " It's our offense that sucks. Why? Because Datsyuk can't score in the playoffs. Even now, if you contain Zetterberg, you contain the Wings. Last nights game was a perfect example. It was a boring game that either team could have won until the 3rd period. Zetts heated it up and won that game for Detroit. What do you think's going to happen in the playoffs? Teams will know that they only have to worry about Z." Now what does that sound like to you? "if you contain Z you contain the wings" hhmmmmm.... one man team maybe? Heres another gem from the same post............ "Last nights game was a perfect example. It was a boring game that either team could have won until the 3rd period. Zetts heated it up and won that game for Detroit." If that's not having a head firmly tucked into said players ass, I don't know what is. Which is what sibiriak was trying to explain, when you so kindly decided to call him "datsyuk's dad back to defend his son". Yet you wanna cry cause I called you "scouty mcgee". Grow up boss, I'm sick of people like you who decide there opinion is the only one, and anyone who thinks differently is an apologist or making excuses, or in need of having things spelled out for them. Who the hell apointed you hockey god? I'd answer your question of what jibber jabber, but you promptly followed your question up with your own answer. Thanks for trying to form my answers for me, but I can handle it. Who exaclty did Holland "inheirit"? Those are his picks. He's scared? Your the one slamming the panic button and making wild accusations of the Wings not only not needing Datsyuk , but playing in "spite of him"? Give me a break. If your saying that the D had no responsiblity in last years early exit, I'd say you better study up on some game tape, if your hoping to continue that scouting career where you can predict the future. Cause that's just silly. Yeah, your the only one that thinks they should add another forward. BTW, there was no double talk, if you even know what that means, and any swearing done I can assure you wasn't at you, but in describing what the team would be like without certain players. Besides, if it were a great problem, which it's not, I'm sure the board would have filters of some sort.

Well, if you think these guys think that they can actually get it done all by themselves and really don't owe any credit to there linemates, but only do to be p.c., then you know even less than I thought you did. So than back to why? If he's veiwed as a non essential part to Red Wing success, than what does it matter if he even skates? They don't need him they got Z, right? Your one man show theory shoots itself right in the ass, due to the fact Z had a great series, and they still lost. Stop reading into things? Sorry I don't just jump on every bandwagon that rolls on by, I like to educate myself on the topic at hand and draw my own conclusions. Without spitting out the same jibber jabber. Nope, actually Sergei is my "favorite" player and there's some others up there too. When did I "make up" an excuse for anything? Now who's reading into things? That's great Scouty Mcgee, but I'll leave the visions of players future success to the pros. No offense or anything.
-
Oh, I know you can, that's why I said you don't have to. WE ALL ALREADY KNOW. Your whole "holier than thou" attitiude about Z is wrong. Read his own personal quotes and see whom he gives credit too. The team would look s***ty without Z, s***ty without pavel too, as witnessed with the few games he was out earlier. Tell me this, if Dats is so replaceable and not needed, than why is he the overwhelming favorite for playoff whipping boy. If Z's not your favorite player, I'd hate to see how are about your actual "favorite".
-
Big surprise your head is so far up Z's ass you can't pull it out to notice anyone else on the team. Your dislike of Dats is well documented, so give it a freaking rest already. You dont have to put it in every post in every thread.

Nah, don't believe 95% of it. Though it is slightly entertaining to read, and was posted to respond to the "NO TRADE COMING" title. Reguarless trades are coming, and I'm willing to bet Guerin's getting moved, and I think it'll have a domino effect, that will lead to the wings being in some sort of deal. while I agree he throws stuff at the wall and see's what sticks, he was right about Forsberg very recently, before it was reported on TSN or anywhere. edit...mistake
-
From hockey buzz..... My sources are saying that a Guerin deal could go down this afternoon. Remember I said "could." The teams leading currently...Detroit, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Atlanta. This could change as the day goes and more players get involved. (don't count out Pittsburgh at all)
-
Or Cheli containing Bert.
-
Washington needs alot more than just a center for Ovechkin. I'd say they should start between the pipes, if there going on some sort of spending spree. BTW, Melrose is a tool.
-
That's what I'm saying, I remember hoping for the Ducks and Edmonton, then I saw where that got the Wings. I kinda like the battles though. Sweeps and "easier" rounds are cool too, but I love watching the hard faught battles where it could go either way, and in the end if they make it, you know they truly deserve it. Plus it's just plain more entertaining.
-
I'm not going to lie, I got a pretty mean dynasty going with the Wings on my ps2....
-
From hockey buzz........ )…players like Ryan Smyth and Sheldon Souray are still more likely to stay put than move at all. However, if they ARE moving, I have given you the teams where it is most likely. What you read as rumors below are just trades that are being discussed. It is ALWAYS possible and often times probable that players don’t move at all…HAVE I CONFUSED YOU ENOUGH YET??? The Chart is of course only as good as I am at deciphering the various clues. For entertainment purposes only…please no wagering. Tier 1. Bill Guerin-Detroit (e4), San Jose (e4), Atlanta (e4), Toronto (e3), Anaheim (e2), Buffalo (e2), Ottawa (e2) Keith Tkachuk- Atlanta (e4), Anaheim (e3), Pittsburgh (e3), San Jose (e2), NY Islanders (e1) Eric Brewer- Edmonton (e4), Buffalo (e4), Atlanta (e3), Ottawa (e2), Toronto (e2) Ryan Smyth- Detroit (e3), Atlanta (e2), Anaheim (e3) Sheldon Souray- San Jose (e4), Detroit (e2), Edmonton (e1) Martin Biron- Tampa (e4), Florida (e3), LA Kings (e2)
-
Keith has something like 53 pts. in 81 games. Guerin has 48 pts. in 96 games.
-
I'm not understanding, does that mean the Wings have made those offers for both, or multiple teams have, with the Wings being in on Guerin?
-
no need to get out of breath. Somehow I doubt that no one would be concerned. Eh, like i said, I'm content to let the hockey do the talking this year. edit....mistake
