Well, we lost Amadio last off-season to Iowa, and then he was traded to an AHL team out East. The guy in charge of the unofficial griffin site (if you will), said that Adam Keefe liked GR, and GR liked Keefe, so hopefully he is our fighter next year. He's not overpowering, or huge, but he sure is the entertainment value of the minors. He's a scrappy little guy. As for losing Bootland, it's sad that just on the value that he's been a Griff for what seems like forever, and we're losing him to, IMO, Bridgeport. I would like to see him atleast get 4th line minutes in NY, but.... I dont see him cracking even the Islanders roster. Opponents got into his head way to easy, and that would throw him off for the night. He did have his moments, but I'm not to sad to see the good go with the bad.

Meh. Bootland is just going to be the "tough guy" in Bridgeport now....although I'd like for the Griffs to play him and his new team...I'd love to heckle him.

the GR Press just had an article saing they'd like to have the coach in place in mid-July.

Is that even possible? I thought that is why Bert didn't play any games with the Griffs, just practiced with them.

That line in the article says everything. I thought Ireland was a good coach, and did pretty well with last years team, considering who we had on the team.

After watching Jimmy play in GR all year, I can tell you I think he needs another year in GR. He is inconsistent(sp?), but has some major talent (which I'm sure you know, being a UMaine fan). I'd let him play 60 games in GR next year, and then make the decision. As for Liv, the rumor is he signed a 3 year deal with his old Euro team, and will only be in NA next year if the wings offer him a one way deal. So, IMO, Liv is done in the NHL.

Can someone please do me a big favor and tape game 5 today? It'll be my first game at the Joe, where I can actually cheer for the winged wheel. I'll be happy to pay for shipping and all that crap. Thanks alot guys.

Meh. He was very impressive at the beginning/middle of the year. But he looked out of place a couple times in the last part of the year, and playoffs. He definately has some potential though.

He played one helluva game. He was skating hard, even finishing some checks. He had an absolute beauty of a goal on the Griffins first goal ( I believe). It was a two-on-one, and he got everybody thinking shot, and made a perfect pass to Voce for the goal. He's been very impressive, from what I've been able to watch these last three games. He hasn't made any glaring mistakes.

Tell me about it. I saw Drew start skating from his crease and got all geeked. Jimmy skated away from the scrum, and Drew went back to just watching...we were getting excited. Howard has been awesome this series. He stopped 2 breakaway shots, to keep us in game 3. He has been playing really, really well. Its good to see.

Pathetic. The ahl has it listed at 2754, but I doubt there were that many people there. The arena still made decent noise, with all the "die-hard" fans. Everyone was making noise during the penalty shot in OT, and during the fights in the second....man were we close to a goalie fight.

At even strength, He was out there with Norton. He got quite a bit of ice time, especially on the PP. I'd probably put his ice time in the 10-15min. range, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Well, I just got back from Game 3 of the Griffins series, and Kindl is a pretty good player. He is on our PP, and took a couple of good shots on net. He's definately going to be fun to watch.

I hope he does a good job for us tonight, and loses. I'd love to see him get pulled after giving up 4 goals on say 5 shots.

When Quincey lost his stick twice on back to back shifts(maybe on one long shift?) I was screamin' at him to hold on to it. But he did us Griffin fans proud.

The only D-men that have been in the NHL are Smith, Norton, and Quincey. Smith is a hard worker, but not signed to a Wings contract ( I believe). Norton is well, Norton. He doesn't look good in the AHL, and shouldn't even be considered. If he can get burned that badly in the AHL, he doesn't stand a chance in the NHL. Remember what he did in the beginning of the year for the wings? I think that they should just throw Quincey on a pairing with Chelios and call it good. They have played together earlier in the year, and the pairing looks pretty good to me. The wings will score enough goals in the game tonight, that it wont matter. Edit: WHen I call Smith a hard worker, I mean AHL hard worker. He's without question a depth guy. End of his career, not a NHL'er.

I really hope they play him. I'd love to see Norton, or Quincey scratched for game 1. Show the team that if you play like %#$^, you're going to get scratched...Maybe that will give us a chance in the series.

Word on the street (griffinscentral.com) is that we just signed Kindl...I'm sure it's just practice time, but with how our team has been playing lately, I wouldn't mind seeing him get a shot at playing.

I say we win one game, so I can go to Monday, and Friday's game.
