I'd say that Virtue played like ass while he was here, too. We would be on the power play, and when the puck was passed to him, it would just magically end up outside our attacking zone, forcing us to regroup. Or even better, he would lose the puck, the other team would jump on it, and start a break, Virtue would then be stuck, so he would just tackle the guy, forcing us to give up the PP, or go short handed. He would run his mouth to the ref when he DID the penalty, putting the team in a worse situation...what else can I say... He just all around sucked when he was here. He might have been a good locker room personality, but his on ice play was lacking. I'm glad that he's gone, and I am sorry for you, and your team for having him.

I actually think he has been playing pretty good. I haven't noticed him make any REAL bad mistakes, or take many dumb penalties. I think he is just starting to "gel" with the Griffs, and could really be quite an asset. I say give him some time, I think he looks better now, than some of our current guys did in their first year witht he Griffs.

I'll tell ya what, if the 'yotes trade Doan away (to ANY team), I'd definately flip the organization the bird, and jump ship to the wings.

This thread makes me cry. The 'yotes just dont get it. JR, he was good there once, they should never have brought him back. Owen Nolan, do I even need to comment? They really are becoming the "Rangers" of a couple years ago. All washed-up old guys.

He likes the logo better? The griffin cap was in the wash?

I enjoyed going to UHauL games to watch him play...Barnes, too.

I think Drew's chances are slim to none. My guess is, he will play in Toledo until his Wing contract is up. We have to many goalies, and he is the one that will get the "shaft". Joey Mac is way over-rated., IMO. He gets in net, and even the SA Rampage look like a good team. Personally, I think Howard/Liv would be the best way to go in GR, and if the wings sign another goalie, that will happen.

I have seen some of the best games this season, and one hell of a great year. I think I went to all but 5 or 6 home games, met some awesome people, even a couple from this board. Now the offseason is going to start, & I am going to be reading headline after headline, trying to figure out what player will end in GR. & I hope Hershey/Portland smokes the Ads. Louis Robitaille (hershey) was probably my favorite person to heckle. He would react to every comment I yelled. & on my final note, Hey Tootoo, YOU SUCK.

I dont know. I'd like to see Maclean be closer to 100%, and start scoring goals. Or what about Quincey's crazy slapshot? Why has that suddenly disapeared? We need to get in the Admiral goalie's head. We actually got a game 5 at home this post season, I'd like to be able to see it. Its been ahell of a year...

The real thing is I didnt think we played THAT bad last night. Our PP sucked, but that was about it, IMO. We got under Tootoo's skin, so he wasn't getting under ours...The guys that normally piss me off on their team didnt really do much. They tried to be physical & we responded. Kopy nailed how many guys one just one shift? Manlow even had some decent hits. Our PP just sucked. We let how many odd many breaks happen when we were up a guy? We cant force Howard (or Drew) to make break-away saves on the PP. We did get chances on the PP though, and their goalie is a freak. We had a great sequence in the 2nd, and he was just getting enough on it to stop it. Yes, I saw Trots(sp?) and Babcock(sp?), its tough not to when the people next to you keep pointing that out & how great was Maclean last night? He would skate by Tootoo and give him a big hook after the play ended. Tootoo would freak out and Maclean would just skate away like nothing happened.

LOL. No tickets aren't hard to find. We have about 8000 more seats that need to be filled for the next game...you can get seats as close to the glass, or as high up as you like.

I agree about the D. How many times this year have we seen the defense just stand around, which results in a penalty called against us? I know Virtue is old and all, but he needs to stop being such a liability. He missed the puck at the point in the game 6, then threw himself at a Manitoba player to make up for it... resulting in a penalty. He missed the puck how many times in game 7? How many times had he got beat tonight? He might be a great veteran to have in the locker room, but he needs to get his head into the games. & I know that he might not be the only one, but he just stood out the most to me the last 2 games. I dont expect us to play like we did in the 3rd tonight, all the time....but wasnt that fun.

That was a crazy game. We came out hard, and then let them take total control. How many people thought we had a chance after that 4th Manitoba goal? That early 3rd goal in the 3rd period got the crowd back into it...and what hustle by the team. Now lets kick some Admiral @$$!

The GR Press said he was fine, and would play tonight. We sit right behind the penalty box, and our entire section didnt care how they called the penalty, as long as that clown was sent to the dressing room early. He deserves fines, suspensions & an *** beating when they meet again in the January.
