We couldn't have won regardless who was in net, we may have had 3 different goalies but the two who weren't Osgood were Vernon (already had won a cup) and mother ******* Dominic Hasek. We won with three damn good goalies.

The Wings are sitting in 2nd place in the East tied at 60 points with the Habs who have 2 games in hand, and those games are Arizona and Buffalo. Keeping pace is going to be tough.

I agree, even with success at the AHL level, it's difficult and unlikely to have immediate NHL success. He needs to play and this is the perfect situation for him.

Seriously Holland sucks so badly. Why isn't he trading our mediocre crap for franchise players!! We are victims of a system designed to prevent dynasties. Holland may not be the best GM but the talented teams are meant to be recycled and the Wings have been fighting that fairly well. I don't know that we'd be better off now if we had tanked after our last cup run or not, but that's just as risky a gamble as trying to rebuild on the fly. My only concern is that none of our D prospects will become franchise players.

Funny that Yzerman nicknamed him Mule specifically because of how not lazy he was. Seems like his issues could be something else besides work ethic. Hell, he could just be aging too fast.

Besides how much time he has to shoot, it's funny how far out the goalie was to challenge his shots and still couldn't make the save.(And that's not necessarily a knock on the goalie.)

I honestly didnt realize that he still played, much less for the Avs.
