for him to make the olympic roster , that would mean hes actualy playing pretty good , and from what i remember in the short time he was here he played pretty well and had some promise hopefully he'll come back in the 2006-2007 season its gotta be an upgrade over rivers/lilja/lebda and next season chelios should be gone and god knows whats going on with fischer

i dont consider malone a power forward and if he was that good the penguins wouldnt wanna trade him

we dont need malone , we got tons of forwards more then able to do the job and we got up and comers in grigorenko/filppula and hudler what we need is defense if we dont try to fix that now we might get screwed in a few years , we dont know if fischer will be back , chelios lidstrom schneider arent getting any younger lilja, wooley and lebda are ok but not top 4 material

i just saw that hes got like 28 goals already, never heard of him before. Its pretty impressive though hes on pace for like a 55 goal season , dont know if hes gonna amount to be anything but for any pick let alone a 5th rounder i belive to get a 50+ goals even in the juniors is still a good thing

ummm no lol let florida keep luongo and his future 6 million a year salary id rather get biron at 2 million and id keep hudler , #1 ahl leading scorer, plenty of upside if he would actually get some real playing time in the nhl lol

because hes not a number 1 goalie , everytime hes in nets im always scared were gonna lose , hes too shaky , id much rather have biron who with a better team ahead of him would do him wonders , look at him now im just scared of all the rumors i been hearing of colorado trying to get him

we'd be more then just fine without him , we can fill up his spot with filppula or hudler and get them some actual playing time rather then bringing them all in one shot along with grigorenko plus we got guys like williams and samuelsson whos proven they can step it up lets face it our biggest problem is our defense , besides lidstrom and schneider our defensive is ok but not great, and aging , plus the loss of fischer was a big blow .....we need a really good defencemen in their early thirties max so we have at least something to look forward for the next few years lang can always be replaced

im down with getting rid of lang and his 3.7 million for this season and next , it'll save us some important cap space to get some good quality defencemen and players for this season and next , even without lang our forwards will be just fine , what we need is defencemen as much as i like lilja/wooley/lebda their not great defencemen , and chelios/lidstrom and schneider arent getting any younger , if we could save up some cash to get a big defencemen next year in redden or chara by gettin rid of lang and getting someone worthy right now id do it in a heartbeat lang can always be replaced .....i just checked the top ahl scorers and hudler is #1 and filppula is #12 ......plus we got grigorenko hopefully coming up next season, id rather replace lang with filppula or hudler for the rest of the season and get one of the 2 prospects ready for next year and get use to the nhl rather then bringing up our top prospects all at a time i say trade lang for anyone whod take him

ok i was just thinking , and yes i might be dreaming but hows this for an idea for a trade ? our weakest spots on the team is on defence and in nets, no doubt in florida mike keenan and luongo aren't getting along , and im sure some of you might say hes playing like s***t, which he is but i think its cause of the whole mess hes in and a part of me thinks hes playing like s**t on purpose to be traded so i say we trade ... to florida robert lang jiri hudler manny legace 2nd round pick to detroit roberto luongo jay bouwmeister i know its a pipe dream but im just wondering what your reactions would be if this trade was to ever happen

the guys value is so much more then the goals and points he gets hes probably gonna make team canada over stars like bertuzzi and others and ottawa risks to lose redden at the end of the season for nothing, and itll be extra money they save to assure getting chara signed kinda makes sense to me

what if we traded draper to ottawa for redden , only if redden was to sign an extension .....would anyone oppose this ? i can see it happening cause ottawa might lose redden for nothing at the end of the season and getting draper and a guy who can do what he does on the penalty kill and shut down oppositions stars might make them jump on it and detroit well they need a defencemen and having redden say for the next 4 years would be a tremendous upgrade for us we can somehow get rid of lang and ozzie and hopefully land a martin biron and the salary would be covered plus we'd still have maltby/franzen/zetterberg/cleary to kill penalties and maltby to get other team stars under their skin

lol only reason i even brought up that trade is cause keenan and luongo aren't getting along and i can see it happening out of spite , and also considering what the bruins did with thornton, anythings possible anyways how about we go after the underrated (and goalie i suggested a while back to acquire) martin biron , the guys finally playing amazing and has barely lost in his last 15 starts, and is only making 2.1 million once ryan miller will be back they'll have a goaltending dilema i say he might be had for robert lang and a high draft pick we can then trade ozzie , and with that we should have like 2-2.5 available for a defensemen to aquire from a trade , or save it for next summer to get wade redden

well from what ive heard hes gonna be a future norris winner which is nothing wrong with that and hes only 22 , id find it hard to believe florida would trade a all star goalie and future norris winner anyways how about lang legace and a 1st rounder for luongo ,only if we got him to sign an extended contract of like 4 seasons, im sure he would jump on it in a heartbeat considering the crap teams hes been on all his career langs making 3.7 and manny 1.8 , we offer luongo like 5 to 5.5 a season if he accepts perfect and it wont be much of a difference money wise we can then trade say draper (i love the guy but we got maltby at half price and franzen and cleary can kill penaltys along with zetterberg) to boston with jiri hudler,jamie rivers and a 2nd rounder for murray and boynton and trade off ozzie to say atlanta for some picks and just bring up a grand rapids goalie since luongo should easily play close to 70 games a season sorry for all the writing guys , basically we.... trade kris draper robert lang manny legace chris osgood jiri hudler 1st and 2nd rounders jamie rivers seems like alot i know and we get roberto luongo glen murray nick boynton draft picks im dreaming yes i know .......any thoughts

trading draper for alison is insain, draper gives us so much more then just goals , besides how can he be expected to score 25 goals again if hes on the 3rd -4th line and plays less minutes ? what he and maltby bring to the table especially on the penalty kill is priceless i seen toronto games , and jason alison is freakin slowwww, for the longest time all i kept seeing on the media was rumors of how toronto wanted to get rid of him and how it was a mistake to of gotten him in the first place so no i wouldnt trade drapes for alison , just my opinion

im pissed off he didnt make it but i do believe (not 100% sure) that yzerman didnt make it either , so i wouldnt give up on mcgrath by far , i seen plenty of players have good junior careers and play for team canada and not make it anyways im most looking forward to team sweden cause we got alot of swedish prospects and im hoping we get to have quite a few there if anyone finds out any wings prospects playing please post
