OT: I'm not sure... but I think "Speed Racer" might possibly be the biggest flop in the history of moviedom. Meanwhile, "Iron Man" continues to look like it will kick ass! I got to wonder if the Franzen interference call, or lack thereof, would have happened had it been Radulov going in for the score on Osgood and Kronwall done the same to him. Bunch of BS.

Seriously, Ellis makes Curtis "Captain Rubberpads" Joseph look like a Dyson vacuum cleaner when it comes to allowing rebounds. If not for his insane quickness in being ready for the second and third chances, they would have given up at least five more goals last game. I do NOT want to see this guy on the Wings.... ever. Our D is NOT phenomenal when it comes to clearing loose pucks from around the net, as evidenced by our plan the last few years. We need to stop the shot before it's fired or have the goalie suck it in with no rebound. Scrambles around our net scare the poop out of me. And my DRW colostomy bad is in the shop right now, so I'd prefer not to have to deal with the poop flying out of me. Regs, Jeff

I think the intensity was there for the most part, but the end of the period had our guys running around just a tad too much. Ozzie is looking solid, as usual. I can't believe how many "almost" goals we've had. This is the kind of stuff that comes back to bite you in the ass later. We need to ratchet it up another notch. Keep taking the play to them. Bang, crash, smash, score. I'd like to see some more tandem hits like Helm and Drake landed earlier in the period.... but NOT at the risk of an odd-man rush. Play defensively sound hockey. Wow, I'm actually a little surprised at this. Seeing him play the few minutes per game that he got near the end of the regular season, I wasn't super impressed. He was another small dude who lost the puck easily and didn't seem overly fast. He wasn't a pylon, but I didn't think "wow... he looks like The Flash out there" either. I'm hoping that he brings all the things we are wishing for to the table, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Hartigan was starting to irk me anyway, given his penchant for dumb penalties. Too bad we couldn't play a bag of pucks instead of Sammy. He might be an agitator, but we need SCORING, not another goofball that wan'ts to trade "Yo mama" insults in the scrums that occur after every other whistle. LET'S GO RED WINGS! Later, Jeff

At this point the match that "Bob can't even blow out this simple match" from the Primatene Mist commercials has more fire than this team... sans maybe Drapes. I'm not sure what Babcock can do. Hell, if Bowman couldn't do it against the LA Kings way back in yesteryear, how the hell can this guy do it? On a positive note, unless we take volunteers from the crowd to put on Wings' jerseys and come out for the second, we can only see a better effort, right? Right???
