Said it before and I'll say it again, Carlo C. sucks the suck out of "suck". What the hell does Babcock see in this guy. Having watched him play when the Griffins played the Aeros here in Houston, I can honestly say that the other 5 kids outplayed him. How is this guy better than Lashoff? Hell, as many gaffs as Smith is having, I'd still take two of him to get rid of Carlo. Yikes. What a waste of money. Anyway, so far, so good. Jimmy has been good/great when he needed to be. Certainly getting some breaks when we need them. Need to learn our lesson on having a 2 goal lead evaporate. Let's Go Wings!!!

I seem to recall there was a distinct reason we used to refer to MS as the "Shinguard Assassinator", and it wasn't because he had a knack for shot accuracy. He looked pretty much like he always has out there now that he's back. Several of the kids on the Griffins looked pretty decent on the point, Friday night. I'd want them in moreso than Sammy. FWIW, he looked REALLY good against the Aeros Friday night. I didn't see any of this "doesn't pass" stuff that another poster was talking about. He was flying out there and his line scored every goal that night, IIRC. Just my $0.02. Regards, Jeff in Houston

My concern was that this move was done to make room for Carlo Colaiacovo. Having seen him play againt the Aeros this past Friday night, I'd have to say there was absolutely nothing remarkable about his play that would warrant having him up with the big club. I know it was a "conditioning stint", but this guy doesn't look anything like he did when I saw him with St. Louis in years past. Skinner and Paetsch both looked better than he did on the ice. On the other hand, Tatar and Mursak looked like big-club players that were playing down. Mursak was truly a force to be reckoned with and his speed was a HUGE asset and integral to the Griffins getting the win. All in all, a great first time to see the Griffins, but not a good thing as far as scounting Carlo's potential if/when he gets called up again. Regs, Jeff in Houston

Ok, so the DirecTV guide is not showing the game on any channel right now. Anyone know offhand how this is being nationally televised? I don't see it listed on local NBC or the NHL channel. NBC sports network is showing the Pens-Flyers. Thoughts? Thanks, Jeff in Houston

Honestly, that doesn't sound any more outlandish than anything else discussed so far. I'm just trying to understand what the REAL deal is behind this move because, as most of us have stated, the likelihood of Nabby clearing waivers is close to none. Kenny is no dummy and he knows this. So I think there's got to be SOMETHING going on here. Does anyone know if there is any type of compensation awarded to the Wings if another team snags Nabby off waivers? I doubt it, but perhaps that's the play Kenny is making? Jeff
