*gag* Why is it that the first pre-season game I get to hear Ken and Mick do is a complete abortion of an effort? Yuck. The Griffins looked about 3 million times better in last night game a Toronto. Then again, I guess they all knew they were playing for a future spot on the team, not just looking to get to the actual games that matter.

Ummm, on what planet is a Wings team that doesn't dress Lidstrom, Z-bug, Dats, Rafalski, Maltby, Hudler, Draper and Holmstrom "much of their 'A' lineup? Dude, pass that crack pipe over here. Looks like I need to peruse about 350 posts to figure out how bad the Franzen injury is/was. WELCOME BACK WINGS!

Hell. Friggin. Yes. Nice to see Franzen awaken. Ritola looked good. E had a good game. I still wish Jimmy had stopped the Heatley shot that he clearly saw, and there were still too many odd man rushes against. Can someone tell me how to get ******* off the INSIDE of my tv screen? With the circle jerk on Vs. for Crosby, it's a real mess in there.

Yuck. We're sucking the suck out of "suck" on faceoffs. The debacle of 3 goals in 2+ minutes, notwithstanding, the 5 on 5 play looked decent. Our Power(less) Play looks like it's back to it's early regular season form. Special teams will win this series... so far, not looking good. That being said, it's only one period. This IS the San Jose Sharks, who aren't known to be a playoff machine, by any stretch of the imagination. If we come out with jump in the second and get a quick one in the first 5 minutes or so, I say we have a good chance of a win. BTW, what the hell is with our D-men stumbling, fumbling and rumbling on the ice? Is the ice dreadful tonight? LETS GO WINGS!

So while Halak puts on a clinic in Montreal, the Preds and Hawks are evidently playing without goalies tonight??? WTF?

Well. That was abysmal. Despite outplaying the Dogs, we're down 3 goals. Nothing seems to want to go in for the Wings. I've seen this f'ing story so many times the last 16 years, it's nauseating. Unless there is a HUGE shift and the Dogs melt down, it looks like it's yet another Game 7 for us on Tuesday. Meanwhile, everyone else will have played at least one less game, no doubt. ARGH. This is so damn aggravating. C'mon, boys. If those steaming piles of fetid ass out in Pittspuke can come back and win, so can we. No more stupid penalties. Capitalize on your chances. Never say die. LETS GO WINGS!

Well, this certainly didn't do anything for my shaky faith in Howard, did it. One quick one in the first 30 secs of the first. Another one in the last 30 seconds. Then he lets in the back breaker after we start to show life again. Unreal. Overall, we showed about maybe 20 mins of effort in this game. I just don't understand what happened to the hitting once it showed that it was working. We hit. We score. Simple as that. We stop hitting... we don't score. Now, of course, we can hear all series about how "the heart of the Coyotes can't play for them right now, but the team is going out to win it for him". There had better be a damn sight better effort on Tuesday or as ol' Uncle Owen Lars used to say, "There'll be hell to pay". (Though I think that was about having the moisture vaporaters repaired up on the South Ridge).

Yuck. The last 15 mins of the 2nd was an exercise in just how far the Wings can stick their heads up their own butts. We MUST score a quick one on the Doggies at the start of the 4rd and then keep beating them down. Finish checks. Tighten defense. Get our no-show players to make their presence felt on the SCOREBOARD. LETS GO WINGS!

Franzen is lazy and he sucks. Yeah, between Mule and Jackass, errr.. Bertuzzi... those two could be replaced by call-ups from the crowd based on this series so far. Obviously we started off the first 30 seconds on the wrong foot (thanks, Mule), but ever since we decided to go back to hitting, the tables have turned. Let's hope we can keep up a high level of play, take no dumb penalties, and cash in on our chances. LETS GO WINGS!

Thanks for the thoughts on the Home vs. Away announcers, gang. As for there being a guide channel that informs which is H and which channel is A, nope... not on DirecTV, at least. Regs, Jeff

For those of us with Center Ice, have any of you guys ever figured out if there is a rhyme or reason as to which of the 2 channels the Wings' home broadcast is shown vs. the "other guys"? For instance, tonight's game is being shown on channel 775 and 776. I want to DVR the game, but don't know which of the two channels to pick. I usually have to actually be HOME to make sure I pick the right one, which sort've defeats the purpose. Thanks, Jeff

THANK YOU for the update! Great news for us DTV subscribers. Yeah, it may be the worst hockey coverage that we get to see in the States, but at least it's hockey coverage and we won't be missing playoff games because of a pissing contest that only hurt the viewers.

Ok guys. I'm turning in because: 1.) I'm tired 2.) I'm getting more pissed off as I watch this POS game 3.) The DRW are the biggest tease this year 4.) I'm sure they'll manage to ****** defeat from the jaws of victory, just like pre-Olympics. 5.) I'm sick of watching this game on a tiny PC screen window... but thank the guys streaming it since Directv can suck my balls. Have a good night.
