Thanks YG's It's so random...I would have never bought a magazine otherwise. Ha ha. I know, I've been wanthing a practice jersey for ages...if only it was the BLACK one, but oh well, it is awesome, I'm not complaining at all! Oh, how I wish we would have scored. I had such a bad feeling when we couldn't put it away...ugh, and it came true. If I was in, I could have scored on the open net when Norrena was out and about Ha ha, I am *that* lady Thanks

I was really hoping Huddles would go.
-
It made about as much sense as what you said.

I know it will (probably when he comes back next year ) but it's so annoying. I expect more from Wing fans. Also, they are REALLY bad at booing him. Wow, I thought I direct quoted you... A real Red Wing fan would have known when I was doing this: at them.
-
Booing Fedorov is stupid. I'm glad if anyone got the goal it was him, as it was poetic justice. I don't care if it's for grins or because you have a severe dislike for him, it's just wrong to boo a former Red Wing...especially one who did so much for the team. Now, it's just DUMB and embarassing, but it was REALLY MEAN spirited in the past. People were really mean and rude and classless when Sergei was first traded, so I don't feel like it's 'okay' to do it at all. Even though it's just an echo of its former self...it needs to stop...it's so embarassing. For every other shootout shooter people were chanting 'Ozzy, Ozzy' but then they boo'ed for Sergei...ew.

Just got back from the game :!: First of all, it's poetic justice and karma that Sergei scored on us, because everyone was booing him. But I digress, I wish we'd have won...based on Ozzie's play we should have...so heartbreaking that way. The reason that the Wings play different when Ozzie's in net than when Dom's in net, is that they have 'The Fear' when Dom's in net. Oh yes, he's one of the best goalies in hockey, but he's also unpredictable. They can never know when he's going to do something crazy like run out of net, so they play crazily. Ha ha, just a thought. Actually like anything they probably just play differently in front of different goalies...I think it's always been this way. Best thing of the game. I got a program for HC today at the Joe. It had one of those numbers in it, but we never get those, so we thought it'd be funny if we won. Little did we know that we had the winning number, so I got to go down and do SCORE-O...I was so nervous, but I won...well tied. I scored my first 2, then I missed the third one because I was nervous and already knew I had enough and just flung it without really trying. I got a Red Wing Practice jersey, it was so cool! Ha ha! Man, I've never seen such a frustrating game...scoring wise...seriously. Very frustrating. Great to see Bert, he looked really nervous before the game in warmups but he calmed down as the game went on. He did really well especially considering that he's back from injury. Ozzie was great He really kept them in the game...where was the scoring? So frustrating. Anyway, I had lots of fun..lots of excitement at the Joe. It only could've been better had Ozzie kept his shutout...that sucked that he lost that, but if someone had to score to win it I guess I'm glad that it was Fedorov.

Hee hee, I made a sign...just plain text I decided..ha ha. Boring I guess... Yay Jersey  Off to the game now! PS. OsGod took my Ozzie hat!

I don't think it matters if it's a 'star' player or not. I don't even think Babs comments were 'that' bad. He usually comes out, gives credit where due, gives critisism where due. Says it how he sees it. It's only a really big deal because people are making it a big deal. Maybe he shouldn't say it in front of the media...maybe everyone is right on that, but then he shouldn't for all players. So in fairness, I think it was good that he didn't in essense single Dom out by NOT mentioning his mistake. It would be bad if he started putting players above others...at times I think he has done that anyway, but it's good to see that he'll call out a 'star' if he thinks that needs to happen. I'm telling you...as an Ozzie fan, that you'd be hardpressed to hear something pleasant about Ozzie coming out of Babs mouth. Not to say it doesn't happen, but he's heavy on the critisism light on the praise even in very good games. I think he coaches with a heavy hand to get results.

It's true only because other players are called out all the time. Dom gets called up and everyone starts whining that no one should critisize Dom for his flopping. And a whole thread is started about the outrage...when really, who cares about that one little comment. Hasek does not suck at all, but is not above reproach...when other goalies do boneheaded things THEY get called out by the coach. In my opinion, good for Babs, if Dom got off free wouldn't it make Babs look like he was playing favroites... This is better proof than ever that Dom is in because he's good, and is not above reproach. I like to see it. Dom will think twice before doing that again...and will, naturally still be #1...no harm done.
-
Hasek is a great goalie, but not above making mistakes. A person like Hasek always wants to be improving his game, being sharper, and learning a new trick or two to stay ahead of the competition. So, if there's critisism due him, I'm sure he will take it and realize that people who are good enough to improve will be critisized. Just because he doesn't often make mistakes doesn't mean that he should be ABOVE any critisism.

Um...ha ha! Those are great, that one's my weird favorite.
-
I gotta say, it's not my favorite, but I could get used to it. 2 great DRW goalie on the helmet, and 1 in it...I like that symbolism Reems, if you want me to get the magazine for you tonight we could work something out if you're not going to any other games, I also think it's available at Hockeytown Authentics...pm me.
-
Babs calls out everyone else..who cares. Plus, I think the whole thing is overblown. Hasek made a mistake...he pointed it out, I don't think anyone thinks that everything is Hasek's fault.
-
This is GREAT news! So should I make him a sign? Ideas? I was thinking something like: Welcome to the Hockeytown family, Bert Glad to have ya! Or something...ideas?

Found the publication: Inside Hockeytown March/April 2007 The Issue is called "The Rookies: Adding Punch to Motown's Lineup" And it has Flip, Huddles, and Kopecky on the cover
-
Awesome! Please keep us updated. I'd like to know if they are still going to play, they said we'd know after morning skate, if I'm not wrong.
-
I'm very excited for this game! First of all, actually going to a game where Ozzie's playing at home, a rare thing! Plus, Bert is hopefully, most likely in the lineup! I can't wait. Also, taking my little sister to a game for the very first time. Maybe I should make a sign welcoming Bert?? I don't know...ah the days of signs...i haven't done that forever...
-
I believe Huds, and the youngins are on the cover, but Brandon has moved it and I can't find it right now...
-
Its from the inside hockeytown latest edition... The one HockeyH was talking about
-
This is great news! First game I've gone to in a long time and it's Bert's first. Awesome!
-
I fell asleep in this one, and it looks like it was a good thing. I saw Datsyuk's goal and that was about it. Looks like we just didn't have it last night? Too bad, I wanted to win.

I would gladly give up my Columbus jersey for Sergei to come back to a Red Wing jersey and retire where he belongs. Indeed. As, much as I can't wait to see what TB does on the ice, I know that Fedorov is a far better player all around. And awesome as a forward or as a d-man. The good thing about Kenny is that I think he will make the call if it's possible, and things work out. And he can't be discounted in the playoffs. I've never seen a player more critisized in the playoffs, but he was money, he really got the job done. Age/injuries have degraded his skill a bit, but 38 year old Sergei > most of the other defensemen in the league. And his brain is still the same. The way he knows where ot place a puck is still just as amazing.
-
The thing is that it's not as if he's not DOING anything on Columbus. He's tied for 2nd in scoring a few goals shy of Rick Nash, and is 3rd in scoring. He was on fire after Hitchcock joined the team, and he's done a lot of it while being injured. He's only a handful of points behind 'all-star' Rick Nash, while being much more flexible and defensively minded. He's a great asset to any team. I'm not saying he's still worth his $6 mil contract, but I'm also not saying that the Blue Jackets are going to looking to be getting rid of him. From all I've seen, they love him there.
